One of my favorite Classic B movies. Fun performances, great creature effects, and very interesting idea. Bacon and Ward and Gross have some of greatest chemestry.
B+

This one is just classic. It is the epitome of a B-monster-flick. I am a sucker for monster flicks and this one delivers on every level. It has the nice creature design, the good characters, it has the suepense, it has the good humor...everything. The best thing about it is that the movie is infinitely rewatchable. Many films tried to mimic it (Eight Legged Freaks recently, Slither soon again), but none came even close. Classic stuff.

I just watched this DVD a couple weeks ago, as I had not seen it in many years. It held up amazingly well and really is a shining example that you don't have to have a big budget to make a fun and suspense filled movie. It's a great throwback to those 50's style horror movies, and made me wish they'd do more movies like this today - as most horror movies today rely too heavily on CGI and don't have near enough of a "fun factor". I give Tremors a solid A.

Easily the best B movie produced in the past 40 years. Tremors is full of great lines memorable characters and situations, and the whole concept of giant worms will actually leave you slightly wary of walking on gravel for quite a bit.

What was I thinking when I said its a B+, its a perfect example of knock off of those horrible horror films from the 50s, not only is it quotable and funny, its suspenseful, horrific, and holds up well
Solid A
Snakes on a Plane, Slither, Shaun of the Dead wouldnt exist without this one.
Id love to see another sequel. Though, I hope they get a budget this time.

I like them both, but in my opinion, SOAP is better.

Hell no, Snakes is good, but its so uneven at times that it doesnt hold a candle to tremors

Snakes is an incredibly bad movie on its own -- it's fun, but is there any drama? You laugh because it's stupid. You chuckle because there's a snake POV shot. Tremors is funny and pulpy, but a damn good movie. Snakes is shit that's fun to watch.

Haven't seen Snakes on a Plane yet, but can't fathom it being better than this. Tremors is the most pure fun "horror" flick I have ever seen probably.

Not even close. Tremors is actually good movie, Snakes are bad, which is I guess fun for some, and lousy for me.

I think the beauty of Tremors was that you got the same toe-curling fear as Jaws, but you couldn't stay safe by not going into the water. The whole world was the water. It brough the Jaws archetype into our own domain.
I'd like to see another film like this. Something with a monster that could strike at any time, without warning, from below - but up the stakes again. Make it so that the attack could happen in your second story apartment. It'd be like a film version of Lava (i.e., the game where you have to navigate around your house without touching the floor). Anyone who touches the floor is fair game.
I'd definitely watch that ![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Snakes was great fun at the 10:00 p.m. Thursday showing, but take away that amazing atmosphere and you get an entertaining (but not massively entertaining) movie.
Tremors, on the other hand, is B-movie brilliance. The Graboids are the best movie monsters ever.

Loved it when I was a child, those huge worms frightened me. The second part is a little weak compared to the first half, though.

Ample evidence that creature features still have much untapped potential.
