Quote:
Babe: Pig in the City is a 1998 sequel to the 1995 film Babe. It occurs in the fictional city of Metropolis. Due to the unexpected darker and more mature subject matter (the film includes a scene in which a dog almost drowns while hanging from a bridge), the film was not received as well as the first Babe film was, and reviews were generally mixed.

Should have a gotten a lot more attention than it did. I thought it was better than the original. It's a great sequel, and it's a shame a lot of people overlooked this film's greatness.

Terribly underrated. It was nearly as good as the original.

A disasterously confused sequel that brings shame on the all-time classic original film in the series. Babe is on my lifetime top 100 list, and this unfunny mess is on my bottom 100...

1 out of 5.

Not just far better than the solid original, but a borderline masterpiece that, if you ask me, is this generation's Wizard Of Oz. One of the best sequels ever made.

Like most it seems, I loved this movie. Not quite the masterpiece the original was, but it comes pretty damn close.

Just the opposite of the sweet and charming original.

Well watch it now that you're older. You'll appreciate it more.

Uhhhh, wow.

I really don't know whether it would would be right or not to compare and contrast this and the original, simply because they're so different. That's not bad, it's just. . .yowza.

I really loved this for what it was, a modern yet traditional fairy tale of sorts. Dark, moody, not willing to dumb it down or force in stupid jokes for the kids, all while keeping its innocent core.

And someone needs to be punished for having this snubbed at the Oscars so badly, especially for Art Direction, Costumes and Cinematography. My eyes were sick from all the sweet, sweet candy.

Seriously, the sets (and the camera work) in this movie are sooo good it's a crime.

It only got a nomination for Song.

All in yet another attempt to cocktease Randy Newman for another year.

Damn A Bug's Life and overprotective parents for burying this movie!
