 The Hot Chick
The Hot Chick Quote: The Hot Chick is a 2002 American comedy film about a teenage girl whose body is magically swapped with that of a 30-year-old criminal. It was directed by Tom Brady and produced by Guy Riedel for Happy Madison and Touchstone Pictures, from a screenplay by Tom Brady and Rob Schneider. The film stars Schneider as Jessica, the beautiful but selfish "hot chick" of the film's title; Rachel McAdams as the criminal; and Anna Faris as Jessica's best friend. Jessica and her cheerleader friends search for Jessica's body while dealing with awkward social situations.
Adam Sandler served as executive producer and has a small role in the film as the Mambuza Bongo Player, a character based on one played by Schneider in a Saturday Night Live sketch. Sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry, and singers Ashlee Simpson, Angie Stone and Michelle Branch also had small roles. Parts of the film were shot at Redondo Union High School and El Segundo High School. Freakin' hilarious. B+

Umm...shut up. Kind of a guilty pleasure.
It's a little unfortunate that, in light of Rachel McAdams' recent rise to the top, she is provided with like 5 minutes of screen time in this.

Yep, it's surprisingly hilarious. McAdams(in her short role) and Faris are their usual fantastic selves, and Schneider doesn't do *that* bad of a performance, for what he had to work with. After about 5 minutes you really believe he is Jessica.

The Hot Chick: One of this 2002's Best Low Comedies!
In the tradition of other fine examples of the sub-genre of low comedy, such as "Bubble Boy" (easily 2001's most under-rated comedy), "Not Another Teen Movie", "Freddy Got Fingered", and "Zoolander", I would like to recommend "The Hot Chick". It has the (perhaps dubious) distinction of being Rob Schneider's best movie - but, seriously, he's really outdone himself here! The supporting "hot chicks" were also funny and, er... hot. The cast, the story, the cliches -- they all serve the god of laughter here... and laugh I did, as if the gates of Nimeah were torn asunder from their frames, I laughed.
(Warning: For those who thought "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" was not fit viewing for manly men, you may feel a tad uncomfortable with this one, too. )
5 out of 5.

A guilty pleaure.. by cinematic standards, it's not good - but I can't say I didn't laugh hard at times...
I'm not sure what grade I give this.. B-/B?
(offtopic: I still need to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch.. it's one of those movies that I know I'll enjoy it and possibly love it, but never had the opportunity to see it.. another one of these is Spirited Away, which I'm seeing in a few hours - finally!!! )

Wait this is The Hot Chick, with Rob Scheinder, that's getting these great reviews from people. I haven't watched it in a couple of years but when I saw it, it was terrible. I don't give the movie a free pass because it stars Anna Faris or Rachel McAdams, it's a shitty comedy just like Scheinder's other movies.

I'm giving it a free pass because it's hilarious. I didn't even know who McAdams was in 2002.

I'd say this is my second favorite Rob Schnider film behind the original Deuce. It's funny, it's a guilty pleasure, and I liked it.

I haven't been watching them lately, just reviewing them.

 Re: The Hot Chick
This is a huge guilty pleasure! I haven't seen it in years but I saw it opening weekend and then went to see it again the following night. I thought it was hilarious. Bought this one right away on DVD and watched it many times. This is Schneider's best comedy, IMO. And Anna Faris is beyond adorable in it. It still annoys me that she had to mess up her face. She used to be so damn cute.
This brings back memories.

 Re: The Hot Chick
This movie is the definition of guilty pleasure. It's not technically 'good' filmmaking, but it's really funny, quotable and sweet. B+
