Urban Legend
Urban LegendQuote: Urban Legend is a 1998 horror film starring Jared Leto, Alicia Witt, Rebecca Gayheart, Michael Rosenbaum, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Loretta Devine, Robert Englund, John Neville, Joshua Jackson, Regina King, and Tara Reid. The film is based on the premise that a killer is using the methods of death described in certain urban legends as a means to kill the victims.
The film was followed by Urban Legends: Final Cut, which was released in theaters in 2000, and Urban Legends: Bloody Mary, which went direct-to-video in 2005. Predictable, but a fun slasher. B

Fairly good until the end, when Rebecca Gayheart turns in a performance so jaw-droppingly hysterically awful that I audibly cringed. C

Really, Libs? I watched this a few days ago and thought she played a crazy looney tunes psycho bitch perfectly at the end. Her eyes were just crazy.
Anyway, pretty mediocre horror. The deaths are kind of lame really. I only liked Tara Reid's, but that was probably cause it was just nice to see Tara die. I'd give it a C.

Uhh, I really like it. One of the best of the modern slashers wave. The sequel is much inferior...

I kind of liked it actually. It was fun. One of like a handful of slasher flicks that I actually like.

Saw this at the show as a teenager years ago and couldn't stop laughing at her end scenes.

I enjoyed this at the time, but I last saw it around 9 years ago, so I have no idea how I'd rate it now.

This is a fun guilty pleasure, but Alicia Witt is maybe the most unlikable final girl of all time. Any character other than her would have been better.

The double whammy of her and Jared Leto is a snooze-fest to rival Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze, Jr. in "I Know." At least Rebecca Gayheart injects some fun into the proceedings. I like the movie but Witt and Leto drag this down for sure. I'd go a B-. I enjoyed it more when it initially came out.

Re: Urban Legend
I've always liked this film. Haven't seen it since the early 00s but it has the distinction of being the first DVD I bought (along with Training Day).
Hated the sequel though.
