Aaww... I wish also.

Only in the Americas.

Unless it changed.

And it doesn't interfere with Boston Legal, which has it's season premiere tonight at 10PM, and I just know everybody will be watching. :cheer:

I hope that the family edition is as fun as the last one was.

Actually, the premiere tonight is two hours, so...

Yeah, it does.

Heh.

I'm almost scared to watch this version after having recently watched the earlier seasons on GSN. This could go either way, I don't like how they are shortening the amount of travel the teams do, but I guess some allowances have to be made for the fact that it's Family TAR, I think they shortened it from 30K Miles to 11K. As long as we see eight year olds unrolling impossible hay bales I'll be fine with it.

Gosh, Lena and Kristy. They really got a raw deal, I still feel bad for them.

Eeeeeh. I'll watch, maybe. But, maybe not. "House" is on at 9, so I might go for that instead.

So there's 40 people playing this edition... Hm... I'll never get any of the names...

 I wanted to somehow fit Commander-in-Chief into my schedule, but with this one already coinciding with My Name is Earl/The Office, looks like I won't be able to. Oh well.

Let's hope, though, that this family edition isn't so family friendly as the ads have been suggesting. I want some Jonathan/Victoria style berating/yelling/shoving with my karate-chopping kids.

Commander-in-Chief looks kinda good, mostly because of Donald Sutherland. I crack up everytime I see that scowl on his face as they are swearing her in as President. He's not a happy camper. I'm dealing with lots of scheduling conflicts, as both the Yankees and Indians are looking like they might make the playoffs (one is guaranteed), and I'll be watching, so it's going to be a headache for me to keep it together.

I'm definitely watching. I watched bits and pieces of last season (a friend of mine LOVES this show) and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Why would heavy people, old people, or kids enter this? Haven't they watched the show to know how much physical work it is?

I get the feeling that the Gaghans, with their perfect children, are going to annoy me.

I have to support the Blacks, because they live close to me. Go, VA'ers.

Scratch that, the Paolos are easily worse than the Gaghans. Ackkkkk, icky Jonathan/Victoria flashbacks, except without the absuve husband angle.

I kinda liked the girls in the pink best. I hate missing the second half, so I'll have to read up on how it goes tonight.

I have to say, this is better than I would've expected.

Despite the fact the Gaghan children are hella annoying and the teams have only traveled from New York to Pennsylvania, it's still fairly tense with that typical Amazing Race excitement vibe going through.

I can't wait until I can watch the whole thing next week. We need some pictures of the families for this thread in the first post, so I'll find some with all the families and their names later when I get a chance if you'll edit them into the first post for us?

Poor kids.

Is this worth downloading? I seriously doubt I'll like it, but you seemed to think it wouldn't be all that great, Libs. Was it really better than you expected? On par with previous seasons?

Well I'm pleased that it's as intense and exciting as the regular Amazing Race. The Paolo's are on their way to become my least favorite team and the Shroeder's seem to me like they're a Colin and Christie in the making. So far, my favorites are the Weaver's and the Linz's (Even though they are a bit too cocky.)

I miss the planes. Bring back the planes, and the line. We need an amazing line to show how various teams are getting to their destination, I miss the non-family Amazing Race. This isn't the show I loved, this is something completely different and something that I'm not sure I can get into. Couple that with the fact that one of my favourite teams are eliminated first and I'm not sure what to think.

I really enjoyed that. Quite exciting and funny. I agree- the Paolos are EXTREMELY ANNOYING. I was glad to see that most of the episode was in Pennsylvania, my home state! Woo hoo!

Next episode looks like it is in Gettysburg which is only 35 miles or so from where I live. Cool.
