This show continues the theme of shows composed of flashbacks for this season, following Fox's "Reunion." I only hope it's as engaging as the aforementioned show.

It's one of the first traditional sitcoms in a long time to get good reviews.
I am so there.
Premiere tomorrow (already!)

I loved "How I Met Your Mother"! I don't think I will watch Wife Swap unless How I Met Your Mother is re-runing.

Liked it, didn't love it, will tune in again.
Neil Patrick Harris was a riot, and I too liked the twist.

I was disappointed. Didn't really laugh at all.
I liked the twist, though, even though I had read something about there being one. And kinda guessed that might be it.
I'll keep watching, though. Maybe it'll get better.

I was disappointed, too, and lost interest by the first commercial and didn't go back to it, so I missed the twist. I just thought it was poorply written humor, and the laugh track ot whatever they used to cue the laughing didn't make it any funnier.

Count me in among those who were disappointed. The only laugh came at the end when the cab driver was among the friends. Doogie bothered me, he was trying too hard. This may only get a few more chances, but only because it's on Sunday's up here, so I can watch Kitchen Confidential as well.

I really liked it, like holy shit one of my new favorites liked it. And I thought it was hilarious.
The twist at the end was good too as mentioned. Obviously Robin will still be a big character which is nice.

Don't think this is a spoiler as the show told you.
I missed the beginning of the show.
If Robin is Aunt Robin. Are Ted and Marshall brothers? Then is Lily Mom?
Credited cast:
Josh Radnor .... Ted
Jason Segel .... Marshall
Alyson Hannigan .... Lily
Cobie Smulders .... Robin
Neil Patrick Harris .... Barney

No. Ted, Marshall, Barney, Robin, and Lily I'm almost sure are not related whatsoever. I think 'uncle' and 'aunt' is what he uses to call his old friends. He called each one by this at some point in the show. Also Marshall was constantly referred to as the best friend, and Barney likewise wanting that.
And Lily most likely isn't mom because the story is 'How I Met Your Mother'. Also the kids would've recognized the name.

From Zap2it: 7.2/11 ratings. Thats decent, it got more viewers than King of Queens, a little less than Surface. I think thats good enough to survive.

Decent pilot. The only stand-outs were NPH and Alyson Hannigan. And they aren't exactly the leads. The lead guy isn't all that great, and that worries me for the future. As does the untraditional idea for the show. I'll watch next week, if only to hear "Suit up!" again.

I found it to be funny but I found the twist maddening since she seemed like such a nice person and perfect for him. I plan on watching the next episode tonight.

Glad that some of you like it. I gave it another shot tonight, and found the same problems. It's not funny, none of the characters stand out for me personally, and the laugh track operator was quite busy trying to help us all laugh at stuff that just wasn't very funny.
Two and a Half Men is next!

It's still not really that funny. At all.
But it's kind of charming, I guess? I liked it more than last week's.

We did avoid any mention of suits by Doogie this week, though. A plus.

Sorry but looks like suit up was a one time joke or just didn't make it into the #2 episode.
OK show - not hilarous.
But lots of shows like Raymond or Seinfeld needed time.
Not that this is at those levels.

Not impressed with the second episode. A decrease in entertainment value from the premiere for me. This show might just be on it's last legs with me.

Another good episode, another beat-out of Two and a Half Men for me. NPH was more restricted this episode, but still funny. The Marshall character improved a bit, he had some laughs. All and all another loved episode by me. I'll keep watching.

While this show isn't laugh-out-loud funny, it is enjoyable in a low-key way. The romantic aspect is very well-done and is what will keep me watching.
