Number of daily posts in forum at record levels.
In recent days the number of posts has increased to levels we have not seen since the very first days when everyone invaded the place. We are now at nearly 1,500 posts per day (which is higher, I might add then BOM over the course of that forum's history). Unlike the beginning, however, all the forums have high levels of activity. In the first couple weeks it was mostly the Water Cooler that people were posting in. The recent surge in activity was sudden and dramatic right after the holidays. I don't know what the cause was, but it has been nice to see it happen. In any case, the numbers seem to have stablized at this higher level.
I use a daily average using the previous 7 days. The reason for that is so that a Sat. replaces another Sat. and a Wed. replaces a Wed. which makes the changes in the average more reflective of changes in activity. The average is also better then the raw data since it minimizes the effect of daily fluctuations, and more clearly shows the general trend.
The numbers for WOKJ forums overall:

It seems we are now firmly above the 1,400 mark, and I think we are here to stay.
The Box Office forum generally has the same pattern, however, it experienced the recent surge earlier, during the holidays, before the activity spread to the rest of the forums. It started out well, declined to under 100 a day until the server change was finished. It then ended up stablizing at about 160. With the holidays it quickly increased over 200, and now it seems to have stablized at about 250.

Can you read it? I can't see any of it. The same thing with any long posts recently. Maybe it's just me.

It must just be me then. My computer for some reason must not be able to deal with the long posts.

DP07, was BOM really lower than the 1500 posts per day range when it was livin' the vida loca (aka...those days when Sean was on extended vacations...)?
Anywho, this is awesome. Keep it up, guys!

I think DP07 means that BOM has averaged less than 1500 posts over the life of its forums.

Yeah, I'm sure BOM averaged above 1500 at times. However, it was significantly less over the history of the forums.

One more thing that is really nice is number of registered users that visited the site today. 130 of them out of 280+.
And the day is still not over.

I've definately seen much more activity in all the forums. Foreign used to get one post every three days and now its up to a whopping three to four posts a day! That's actually over a 1000% increase.
I'm seeing some excellent discusions from everyone here in all the forums, so keep it up everyone, and I hope y'all are enjoying the iceing of the cake you all helped bake.
