Daddy Day Camp - 57 (4), +8, (+0), C+

That's even worse than I expected, it may have trouble getting to 1M today. But its ratio should be lower than 150.

If DDC has any audience it all, it's largely urban, and one would presume their first choice to be RH3. I hope it's under $1M, just for laughs.

I think it'll be close. I see it finishing with 130-140 reviews and a ratio about the same.

I don't think it'll make $1m today. About $800K.

To be fair, urban films don't normally do well in the middle of the week. They
generally have the highest Friday increases. Which makes it's Wednesday
opening all the more confusing.

Add 0.5 mil. to the weekend and be happy.

Among Wednesday openers, Beauty Shop had 147.56, Johnson Family Vacation 199.27, White Chicks 159.39, so it should be similar.

The movie will probably barely crack the top 10 for Wed. It will be no where near the top 5, thank god.

I'd feel bad for Cuba if only his role decisions were a little better.

It finally got a fresh at RT after 30 some reviews, and its average rating has jumped way up from 1.9 last night to 2.7 now.

Well is career is in sad shape he won a Oscar and now he is taking parts that Eddie Murphy refuses to play (and this comes from a man who did Norbit).

4-hour update.

Daddy Day Camp - 110 (11), +26 (+5), C-

Looks like a sub-$1M day to me.

And Cuba was even in Norbit himself. How sad.

Off-hand, how much do urban films generally increase on Friday? Would 80% be too high?

White Chicks increased 108% in the end of July. I'd imagine a similar increase for this.

I suspect a lower increase than White Chicks on Friday due to Rush Hour 3.

You're right, though I don't think it'll go to 80%, probably 90%.

It's gained nine ratings in five hours - up to 119 with a C-.

By the way, what does it say about me when Yahoo says that I'll probably like this film?

Yes, but recently ratios have been quite lower than expected, from C&L to Underdog, so I think Daddy will follow a similar pattern.
