Re: WORLD OF KJ'S 100 GREATEST MOVIES: The 50s
#54: LAWRENCE OF ARABIA well good choice (take that Magnus) My listing at number 3 and Darth's listing in the top 3 helped likely. I was afraid our mostly modern thinking friends would have ignored that film.

Go to dinner!
It's gonna take hours to get this list done, so go and take breaks. In fact, I shall take a break too!
Just check in every half hour or so.

L.A. Confidential = awesome. I was appalled when it was left off of the AFI list.

Just check in every half hour or so. I say you bunch more movies together when you announce them, until the Top 20. Maybe 3 at a time like you occasionally do?

Re: WORLD OF KJ'S 100 GREATEST MOVIES: The 50s
#52: TOY STORY 2
#51: TOY STORY
I KNOW! OMG! TS1 was actually ahead by 0.5 points. It was much closer between TS2 and LA Confid, because both had the same number of points and votes. TS2 ranked just a bit higher in the top 20s.
#50: MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL
#49: GLADIATOR
I fucking hate this shit film. This over Lawrence of Arabia. URGH.

I have to go now. From the bottom 50, 12 movies made my list. And from the top 50 shown so far, 1 did.

I'm starting to think that 2 of my top 3 won't make it. One of them already did..

Wow I like how both Toy Story movies ended up right together. And Gladiator is awesome.

Re: WORLD OF KJ'S 100 GREATEST MOVIES: The 40s
I have enjoyed many of these choices.
Some of them, I must say, are ludicrous, though. Scream, while a good movie, is not the 79th best movie of all time. And Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? Are you kidding me? That's like the worst Indy. Edit: Oh wait, the "worst Indy" I'm thinking of is Temple of Doom. I like Last Crusade a lot, although it shouldn't be ranked that high.
I remain worried As Good As It Gets will not show up on this list.

It's amazing that every single movie is completly deserving of their place.
'Cept for bottom half of list. And Gladiator.
