So 144 ratio, right on the mark.

Once again! Hey, have you written that article for D.Mac yet? I'd like to read it when it's done. I'm glad we finally got noticed over here.

Hmm... so it stayed within about 7 from the previous movies ratios. Very interesting.

Haven't started yet; a busy week. Going to try this weekend.

Thanks! Definitely think it's worth writing an article on the tracking after three years.

Definitely. Especially since you have hard evidence to support the numbers you are projecting instead of just naming some obscure sources like some other wannabe box-office gurus

Why is Xiayun getting all the credit for Potter?!?
I was the one that said it would have a similar ratio to it's previous 2 films, which both had around 150 ratios.

No need to be sour - we certainly appreciate every person's input in this thread. xiayun gets a lot of the credit because he has done a lot of the tedious gruntwork over the last three years. He's a humble man who is most deserving of the credit he receives.

No, you're the one who said it doesn't make sense that it would have a lower ratio than the last two. But it did. So you were wrong. Hence, no credit.

He's getting credit because he's good at this overall and doesn't let his predictions or bias get in the way of his projections. Plus, it had a lower ratio, which you said wasn't going to happen.

IT WAS LOWER BY LESS THAN 10!!!
That's what, a mil or so.
I have all the respect in the world for Xiayun, because he's fantastic. But I said the EXACT same thing as him, and you guys are being assholes because I said it wouldn't be lower, like 130 or less, than it's previous films.
It stayed right around the past 2 potters ratios. Like I said it would. It only dropped slightly.
So fuck you guys.

Oh, please. I predicted 140 on the previous page, making me even closer than you, and do you see me crying about not 'getting credit'? Just shut up.

Yeah, Chip. You were also very close, which is great.. The point they are making is that Xia is usually on the mark week after week, and month after month. I predicted, 6700/45.5 (146 ratio), but I wouldnt say Im great or deserve any credit because of it. I could very well screw up next time, and I don't do this often enough. Xia does it every week.

That's why it's special when someone else finally gets it right. We all know Xiayun is going to pretty much be spot on week after week, and when someone else FINALLY gets it right, they should be congratulated, even if it's only once.

You're right. The only way we will encourage participation in this thread is recognizing when someone had an outstanding performance, just like the Derby. To be fair, sometimes what happens is that your abiltiy becomes so common that it's overlooked. I personally enjoy your insight and apologize if I have not shown appreciation for your input here.

I would love to just see into Rolling Thunder's and Xiayun's minds/computers to see how they can be so damn consistent with these predictions.
KJ does, REALLY, have some of the finest tracking around. It's a mystery why we don't flaunt it.

It's ACTUAL, according to BoM, ratio is more like... 146.
So even closer to Xiayun and I's 150 predictions.

I definitely appreciate everyone's input and participation, and I don't consider myself as somehow the sole expert on the ratio. In fact, my predictions before the day started have been wrong a lot of times.

OOTP is at 8756 ratings now. If its ratio is steady, I'd say it's going to have a 22/23M Thursday.
