But even BOM has no signs of Transformers India release date.
Wasn't Casino Royale released a couple of weeks after it opened in the states....and still got a record opening.....it doesn't matter, i'm sure it'll be huge in India...

nope the movie released in India the same date as US release date and hence made shit load of money. Also the movie released a week before DHOOM 2 a record breaking bollywood movie yet still managed to do well with that competetion becasue james bond is very popular in India.

Looks like HP4 will take 8 days to get past $20 million, closing but not enough on Tuesday.
SHREK surely has to pass AWE this week, and another good weekend for TRF will put that movie mighty close to SM3's accum.
Some news from Moviemarshal.....slower than expected for HP5 to $20m, looks like the start of the new school term really affected it.
Transformers should pass SM3 eventually...on its way to around $27m.

HP is going to get close to Shrek I think - with IMAX it may just pass it.
As for Transformers - I think $27m sounds right - hopefully it can do a bit more but we'll see.

The good news for Transformers and Potter this week is that there's no worthy competition. Premonition is the only big name, but It's not going to surprise....haven't even seen I advertisement yet....
and it's only showiung in about 4 session per theatre each day...compare to over 10+ still for potter and about 6 for Transformers...

Shrek the Third is now the highest grossing movie of the year having just passed AWE's accum overnight. TRF is closing to around a million behind SM3, meaning at least one of the big three is going down chart. Potter keeps on keeping on, the movie is off the pace of last week, but those figures were unmaintainable.
Two horse race now on Shrek vs Potter (given Harry's blitz, and the holds).
Spiderman topped out at around AUD$23.8m which means Transformers is around the $22m something mark at the mommment....
Shrek 3 would be around $32.6m+ surpassing Pirate 3's total of $32.6m.
Nothing in it really...

Paramount/PPI's Transformers isn't doing too badly either, and currently stands at $159.9m. The frenetic blockbuster brings the noise to nine territories this weekend including Mexico and South Africa on Jul 20.
Universal/UPI's cime thriller Smokin' Aces goes out in Italy on Jul 20 and has grossed $19.6m to date, while the Argentina-Uruguay comedy-drama La Cascara opens in Spain on Jul 20.
Fox International's Die Hard 4.0 scored a spectacular opening day in South Korea on Jul 18 and took $3.1m (2.9bn KRW). This set a new record for the distributor and was the fourth biggest industry opening day behind the early summer power trio of Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, Shrek The Third, and Spider-Man 3.
Die Hard 4.0 launches in Taiwan on Jul 21, followed by Brazil in early August.
Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer stands at $105.9m excluding Germany, where it opens in early August.
Latest figures from Buena Vista International (BVI) and Sony Pictures Releasing International were unavailable at time of writing.
BVI's Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End should overtake Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest's $642.2m tally soon to become the fourth biggest international release in history. Ratatouille stands at more than $30m.
==================
Die Hard 4 had an unbelievable opening day in South Korea, that's just $0.3m behind Spiderman 3, the current record holder....definately an $11m+ opening weekend....absolutely humgous....the past 5 weeks alone have delivered 4 of the strongest openings ever....

SOUTH KOREA (ADMS.) - Weekend 3
Undoubtedly, one of the best performances of all-time. It's the most impressive foreign performance of all-time, and tracking above ROTK (current record holder). It has breezed past both Spiderman 3 and Pirates 3 and should be passing Mission Impossible 3 (5.75m adms. lifetime) and possibly ROTK (5.96m adms.) this coming weekend.....
Definately looking at a 6.2-6.5m adms. take, which would place it close to last year's mega smash 200 Pound Beauty...and place it inside the Top 10 largest pics of all-time.
The Host - 9,129,400 adms. (328,500 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 550 The King And The Clown - 6,550,000 adms. (374) Taegukgi - 6,539,031 adms. (234,512 adms. 2-Day Seoul) Transformers - 5,629,997 adms. (836,035 adms. 3-Day) - 540 Welcome To Dongmakgol - 5,508,748 adms. Silmido - 5,050,000 adms. (179,800 adms. 2-Day Seoul) Tazza: The High Rollers (War Of Flowers) - 4,955,000 adms. (189,000 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 546 The King And The Clown - 4,758,000 adms. (389) Lord Of The Rings: ROTK - 4,760,000 adms. (130,000 adms. 2-Day Seoul) Spiderman 3 - 4,577,000 adms. (122,500 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 627 Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World’s End - 4,485,100 adms. (75,400 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 501 Marrying The Mafia 2 - 4,443,667 adms. Mission Impossible 3 - 4,189,000 adms. (149,000 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 404 Pirates Of The Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest - 3,903,200 adms. (166,800 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 374 Typhoon - 3,850,000 adms. (310) 200 Pound Beauty - 3,804,900 adms. (186,200 adms. 3-Day Seoul)*NY - 396
King Kong - 3,090,000 adms. (136,000 adms. 3-Day Seoul)*NY - 270 The Da Vinci Code - 2,917,832 adms. (75,391 adms. 3-Day Seoul) - 292 War Of The Worlds - 2,900,000 adms. Shrek 3 - 2,563,000 adms. CIS (RUSSIA) - Weekend 2
Largish drop but still topped the market....HP5 opens next week.
It's tracking above pics such as WOTWs, King Kong and TDAT which is fantastic. Will probably top out at about $15m....which is still bloody fantastic and one of the largest foreign takes of all-time.

It surprises me that even against this sorta competition, Transformers is holding extremely well in South Korea....it's almost a lock to beat ROTK...

DreamWorks/Paramount' Transformers is bearing down on $200m through PPI after $34m from 4,315 sites in 42 territories raised the tally to $192m.
Business was boosted by a number one $5.5m debut in Mexico on 413 screens that produced another career high for director Michael Bay.
Of the other nine releases, the film produced a new Bay record in Brazil on $2.7m from 327 screens, and opened number one in a handful of Latin American markets.
Results were as follows: $1m from 100 sites in Argentina; $892,000 from 88 in Colombia; $839,000 from 39 screens in Chile; $800,000 from 14 sites in Panama; $582,000 from 133 sites in Peru; and $495,000 from 60 sites in Venezuela. All generated new opening records for Bay except Argentina.
Transformers also opened top in South Africa on $382,000 from 102 venues.
Shrek The Third is still going strong, and added $10.6m from 4,544 screens in 54 territories for $381.4m.
