In all likelihood. Subsequently, Friday's ratio should be normal.

If it's not a problem, we need to try and post these 30 minutes after every hour (1:30, 2:30, etc.). It makes it more difficult to track pacing with multiple updates.

Live Free or Die Hard is also on the front page. It will likely be there 90+ minutes if history serves.

Wednesday ratio tends to be big and unpredictable.

I checked back to Rocky Balboa's opening Wednesday, and due to Yahoo's high level of cloggedness at the time, we most only tracked written reviews, and it had 540 of them, but Kenspy did record it had 2,319 overall reviews with 2 hours to go. Using those numbers, Balboa had a written ratio of 87 and an overall ratio of about 380. Live Free or Die Hard should be quite lower with an older audience, and the ratios for action films are low in general.

3:00 - +32 (+4),

then lok at the ratio of written reviews to rating:

3:30 - +0 (+45),
4:30 - +79 (+78),

the written reviews amount is sky rocketing faster than the ratings; though tihink theres some significant cloggage. i think well see a 100 vote + increase soon.

Ratios for action films opening on Wednesday...

Spider-Man 2 - 125.83
King Arthur - 135.72
Blade: Trinity - 144.53
War of the Worlds - 151.11
Batman Begins - 171.62
Superman Returns - 221.87
King Kong - 296.85

I see it falling around 150. It needs 1,500 to make $10m today.

Is it heading towards 1,500 so far?

It needs to average 86 reviews per hour from this point to make it. And considering that it'll pick up at night, I think it's probable that it should make 1,500.

Looks to me like it's heading for about 1200 reviews and a $8-10M day, depending on the ratio. I actually expect something closer to 150.

Was just thinking that Transformers will be fun to track. I fully expect it to crack 10,000 reviews by late Tuesday night. May very well blow past 15,000 considering with the 8pm showings, Yahoo is most likely going to open the reviews on Monday, and will the ratio be lower than 300?

Well, if no one updates, an update is necessary. But if there's an update at the half hour and then you update it again every six minutes, it's pointless.
