A grand time at the movies. Wonderfully atmospheric sets. That great scenery-chewing lead performance by Clive.

And the sequel is even better!

Amazing film. Really a great adaptation. Whats amazing is that the book is actually not like this at all, in fact it takes place at college. But this and the even better sequel turned made the frankenstein monster the legend he was. A+ for both films. Karloff was the best of the bunch.

Probably my second favourite classic monster movie, after The Invisible Man. James Whale was the man.
