Definitely one of the best episodes ever. The intensity level is unparalleled on both the small and big screen.

I think either Tony and Paully will go on a rampage on the end, or dare I say it Pauly kills Tony

Incredible episode. I can't believe it's almost over. For all the meandering the show has done, especially in the first half of Season 6, they really stepped it up in the last few episodes.

Despite only having made my way up through season three thus far, I'll be watching the finale tonight.

Really. I don't know if I'd do that. Even though the show has been hit and miss for a while now, the last few episodes have been incredible and set up the finale quite well.

I'm in the same boat. I've kinda watched up to Season Four, but periodically. I've really only watched Season 1 straight.

I'm really tempted to watch the finale. If I don't, I figure, I'll find out what happens anyways and there won't be a point in ever watching it, otherwise...

Then again, Charm School is on VH1. And, the basketball game. Hmmmmmm.

Yeah erm

I used to watch The Sopranos, and just sort of stopped along the way.

I'll see the finale eventually.

one hit, wow.

I dont understand why the random black kid would throw up over someone getting ran over but not being shot.

This show is lame. All the acclaim over this?

this season has been a disaster. The first 3 were amazing.

What an awful ending. my dick was hard for the last 5 minutes, the tension was high as hell and then it ended with a bad fast edit ending, that was complete crap.

From what I could decipher of the ending...

The whole point was that you were supposed to think something horrible was going to happen to the Sopranos inside the diner. And then...it didn't.

So, yeah, completely lost.

I've read an interpretation of the fade-to-black being Tony dying, somehow. Like, he gets killed immediately after he sees Meadow walk in the diner and the show ends when he ends.

Obviously that's just speculation. I don't think I've evr seen a more open-ended ending to a show.

I don't know why everyone is shocked that they went with an incredibly unconventional ending? I've never watched the show, but even I know David Chase doesn't want people to think they know what's happening.

I know you meant cut to black but I'd prefer a fade over a cut.

Me 2, fade out is much better, but chase decided to be pretentious with that cut.

I actually liked the final scene (liked how they toyed with it and closed the "Is he going to die?" speculation without an answer).

But I thought the rest of it was pretty boring.

Though like I said, I wasn't up-to-date.

Tony was definitely killed. The screen going to black was the effect of him getting a bullet in the back of his head from the guy going to the bathroom. In an earlier episode, some guy told Tony that when he died, he wouldn't know it. It would just fade to black.

Also agree with the interpretation that Tony got whacked.

If we were supposed to know exactly what happened in the end, we would have.

I don't understand how anyone could watch and enjoy The Sopranos for six seasons, and not enjoy the final episode. It has never been a "shoot 'em up" show. The finale wrapped up a lot. It wrapped up most of what we've seen for six seasons. I can understand Loyal's reaction, seeing as how he hasn't seen a single episode before and expected this to be way more (or less, IMO) than it was. But people who have watched the show for six seasons shouldn't have expected the show to suddenly turn into a bloodbath in the finale.
