What Films Would This KJer Like?
This is a twist on recommending films to someone else.
Basically, post a set of films that you think the poster above you would like. (or, if its another poster, that's fine too). Base your criteria on what they generally like, and your knowledge of them.
The user being picked could maybe then assess those films, whether the recommendations were correct or not.
Ok, so let's roll

For torrino:
1. Lone Star - great John Sayles film with Chris Cooper.
2. The Truman Show - I'm sure you've seen it.
3. The Insider - ditto
These are just guesses. Am I close?

You're close. I love The Truman Show and I liked The Insider (I find Heat, Manhunter, and Collateral better). I've never seen Lone Star (so you got the part about viewings right )
Um, you've got a broad taste, but I don't see MANY comedies on your lists of movies you recently watched, so...:
1. The Producers (the raunchy pick)
2. Best in Show (the funniest pick)
3. About a Boy or As Good As It Gets or High Fidelity or Say Anything (the heart-warming pick )

That wasn't even funny.
I've never even tried it; You're the one who's even admitted to succumbing to peer pressure and smoking the herb.

It was a joke, and I absolutely loathe drugs. Marijuana reaks, and I don't like it. If I offended you I apoligize, it was all in good fun, nothing more.

Um, I need to get an idea. Hans, list what kind of movies you like and I'll recommend one to you. Right now I am leaning on recommending Jackie Brown, but I'm pretty sure you've already seen it. What are you in the mood for watching? what type of film?
Dammit, I also want Snrub to post in this thread so I can pounce on it and demand he see Black Cat, White Cat. I'm 1000% sure he'd love it.

I brought a Tarantino boxset(inc. Jackie Brown) about 6-months ago, and I still haven't got round to watching it. My new years resolution is to watch it. Along with about half of my dvd collection that i havent seen yet Pick something random
