Just goes to show how bad America really is. Britain is so much better.

Do you guys know how DIFFICULT this song is?
Nessum Dorma is Pavarotti's signature piece. This is a HUGE HUGE HUGE song.
He sang it astonishingly well. Unbelievable.
No American Idol contestant has ever shown this level of talent.

No American Idol contestant has ever shown this level of talent. If he was American he'd already have a career and not be struggling on some talent show. Or so I tell myself in reassurance anyway.

Have you guys seen the video of little 6-year-old Conny? She was brilliant as well!
The other night I spent over an hour watching clips from Britain's Got Talent on YouTube, and boy do they put us to shame!

I know, right? I mean, I'd sit through this once, and that's enough.
I much prefer a Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. Or any pop singer.
For one thing, they can sing great too. And they look good.

Hmm, I don't think Nessun Dorma requires that much of range, actually (I was just looking over my sheet music), outside of the low D's at the beginning.
You really have to belt it though. Plus, the orchestration makes it sound really impressive.
