It was cute and enjoyable fluff. Nothing great, but quite entertaining thanks to a talented cast. Heather Graham in particular shines here and is absolutely adorable.

A totally enjoyable romantic comedy. It's major fluff and nothing deep, but really cute and entertaining.

Not bad, especially since this is not my kind of movie at all (Yeah, I rented it for the kiss, and was pleased to find there's a tub scene!). The film works because the cast is enjoyable - yes even Alan Cumming who isn't exactly convincing as a straight man, but that's mostly due to the writing. Speaking of the script, yeah it's a little dumb. The thing that slightly bugged me is that Charlie never finds out about Gray's true feelings, because she was too smashed to remember. Now it's not so much that I think she should know, it's just that we're supposed to believe that Sam (Cavanaugh) never tells her. For instance there is a small argument between Charlie and Sam on the street right after he kicks Gray out because he found out, and Sam pretty much gives Charlie every hint of why he's angry. The conversation just ends though. Nothing happens. Then there is the scene later on where Charlie and Gray dance. Gray leans in to almost kiss her, Sam walks in, Gray drops Charlie and runs into the other room. Once again, nothing happens. But then from that scene on, the movie completely forgets about Charlie. I mean, there may have been a scene or two with her after that. Now it's great and all that Gray finds true love (If I'm ruining the movie for you, you've never seen a romantic comedy) but that conversation is eventually going to come up sooner or later. Now does this scene have to be in the movie? No. I think the only reason though why it isn't here is because of lazy writing. The script is witty and sometimes very clever, but lazy writing I thought bogged the film down from it's full potential.
