kypade is next by the list I compiled, but it could easily be mixed up. No big deal, you can start next, doubt kypade would mind.

And guess Joseba is busy, start your list, thegun, if he's not back in lets say, 4-5 hours.

Sorry about that, whenever you have time, please continue. And think current batch of members will finish their lists.

Btw, Argos is on the list, after Dr. Lecter and before zennier, let us go with that list. It's on page 1.

It's important to note that during my careful drop down of films onto my top 100 favorites, I was very surprised at how many did not make the final cut. And like said earlier I think it's agreeable, that 100-25 for the most part is very hard to rank, as all these films would recieve a A+ from me, If I was smart enough, I know somewhat ones that I may like more so without further ado, heres first couple.

I find it very hard to put films from the current film on a list of my all time favorites, as they have certainly not stood the test of time for me, and if I did, theres no way for me to rank them higher then this. So my 100 is three films from 2007 that seem almost destined to grow further onto my list as time goes on.

100. Grindhouse/ Zodiac/ Hot Fuzz

Image Image Image

These three films have really hit me over this last year in a way that three films usually don't do all year. Zodiac was such a compelling thriller that brought me into complex and frustrating world of the cops and reporters tracking the Zodiac Killer. While some didnt like the length or the ? ending, I was hooked throughout the entire film with an excellent cast and an almost immortal villain.

Grindhouse, enough said, was probably the best time I've ever had in a theater. Im a huge fan of older grindhouse films and these two directors made this one of the best times ever. Both films had excellent casts and premises and were executed with such skill that these "Bad movies" were still compelling. And the fake trailers. Bring on the sequel.

I loved Shaun of the Dead, despite it needing time to grow on me, since then and watching Space, these three coworkers have grown on me to be possibly my new favorite film team. I love action films like I love Horror films, and much like Shaun being a legit horror film as well as hysterical, Hot Fozz had an awesome story, a great twist and awesome action and one liners.

99. Commando- 1985

Image

Probably the worst film on my list, but at the same time, like other lists here, whats so appealing about this film? It's simply the most enjoyable action film that is nothing but pure testosterone. When you watch this movie you just want to eat raw meat and get lap dances from strippers while doing a kegg stand listening to Aerosmith. It's Arnie's first really big talking role and thankfully he never stopped talking. Here is where he showed his natural charm, as well as intensity at killing people, while having fun the entire time. The action now a days is nothing to really write home about, but the 20+ one liners and amount of times a real person would have died, makes Commando easily one of the most watchable films of all time.

98. The Royal Tenenbaums- 2001
Image

I love Wes Anderson, and he hasn't done me wrong yet. I love Life Aquatic, Rusmore and Bottle Rocket all about the same, but its hard not to see the brilliance in Tenenbaums. Every character is quirky, yet touching and this impressive cast is headed off by the Legendary Gene Hackman, who conintuously was excellent throughout his career. And here he shows a great comedy skill that he rarely got to show off, and he's hysterical. Not much to say, everyone in the cast is really funny and I can watch this movie a lot.

97. American Psycho- 2000

Image

Before he was Batman, he was one fucked up individual. Bale as Patrick Bateman is such a terrible human being, but at the same time, theirs something about him that was really appealing. He was funny, smart, and charming, as well as being a ruthless killer. His trip into insanity is not only horrific, but funny in a dark way. The always great William Dafoe as a formiddable cop, but Bale steals the show and is an early sign of how good he was to become.

96. Frequency- 2000

Image

Before he was the Rookie, and before he was Jesus, Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel made this underrated thriller. I remember seeing this in theaters around when I was 12, and I remember thinking, this was so much better than the Sixth Sense. Granted, they didn't have that much in common, Frequency was also somewhat supernatural and had a great cast.

What started off as a drama with a dead father, turns into a fantasy dream, what son wouldn't want to be able to save their fathers life, then to an awesome third act thriller, trying to catch a killer never caught long ago. It's a perfect meld of them all and to top it off, I thought the problems and their theories of the changing of time to be awesome, only to be rivaled by Back to the Future films in my opinion. I recommend this film to anyone that likes movies.

I came very close to putting Zodiac at 100, but didn't as it hasn't had the chance to pass my DVD test.

I've liked every film on your list so far except for Commando because I have not seen that.

95. I heart Huckabees- 2004

Image

I was very excited for this film when it first came out and it did not dissappoint me. Probably the most philosophical film I've ever seen and while many were put off by it, I ate it up and completely loved the story, dialogue, and quirky characters. This is the film that Mark Wahlburg began raising my interest to him as a good actor. Screw the so called fights between O'Russel and Lily Tomlin. I loved watching this movie and still do.

94. JFK- 1990

Image

My favorite Oliver Stone film to date. The JFK assassination always peaked my interest, for conspiracies were always fun to talk about between me and other students or teachers. Is the movie biased at times, yes, but is it convincing and completely thought provoking, absolutely. The cast is huge, and Costner was at his peak, the same year he won the Oscar for Dances with Wolves. JFK is the best political coverup film I've ever seen. and believe it or not, much of what is depicted is true, except 3 main instances. Though, the recent death of the CIA head, and his documents, leads that they may not have been as far off as they thought all those years ago.
