KJ Believe it brother. I worked my way up adding 5 pounds about every three or so visit to the gym. I've always had some muscle (I don't know how, since I used to be a lazy butt) I was a top 20 nationally ranked pentathlete when I was 17.
i'm sure the results are still somewhere on the net.

When I was 18 to 19 years old I use to do weights with a friend. he would spot and we got up to 140lbs my back and neck hurt like hell but I did lift it and I only did it once to prove I could. I did bench press my weight at the time though 115lbs and I can do about 20 chin ups.

I have it on DVD now, and it has great rewatchability value. I watch it all the time. I don't think it is overrated at all. It deserved all the praise that it got, and I thought it was a very entertaining film. Everything is done perfectly in this. The performances are excellent, aside from Bloom being mediocre, and the story is well developed, and I like it a lot. The action scenes are also very good, and I think the CGI is very impressive, especially the dead pirates, they look amazing. I thought it was a great film, and I can't wait for the sequel, so the answer is no I don't think this movie was overrated at all.

A tad, but most movies in the top 50 of all time are overrated. You think "Man, this movie made over $250 million, it must be awesome!", and you're usually let down. *cough TITANIC cough* And if you missed that, I coughed and said Titanic.

The film was a great ride; I have no interest in ever seeing it again (what for?), but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Rush and especially Depp were wonderful, Knightley did alright, Bloom was utterly forgettable.
As far as entertainment goes, this is about as good as a summer film will get. But I don't see it as anything more.
