On the Lot's days are numbered. FOX might cancel it within the next few days and might even pull it off the air and not let it finish its first season.

Aren't those both the same?

Isn't that better than usual for repeats of the CBS comedies?

Fox is contractually obligated to run it all the way to its conclusion, per their agreement with Spielberg. I even saw an interview with Spielberg on Fox News where he said that very thing.

they'll ship it off to the internet then. i dont care what the contract says, you dont keep a new show on the air that has 2.8 million viewers.

That's part of the contract though: that it has to air on television. I definitely could see them sending it to FX or their reality channel. MyNetworkTV is another option.

When you're getting beat by The Real Wedding Crashers, something isn't going right.

I haven't followed TV ratings closely, but has ever a new show from a major network done this bad on its second week? A 2.86 rating is more than terrible.

yea, Fox's show Drive just a few months ago. I'm surprised though, I think On The Lot was very good. Perhaps reality TV is finally on the downswing

Yeah, directing movies isn't something people are as familiar with as singing, even though we all see the work of directors.

Pretty much everyone likes movies so I don't understand why this wasn't at least a decent performer.
