I'll post them then: :)

The Condemned - 116 (13), B
The Invisible - 80 (11), B
Kickin' It Old Skool - 59 (4), B-
Next - 93 (12), B

The Condemned has the highest number, but it will also have the highest ratio given its WWE fanbase (See No Evil had a ratio of 309). None looks promising.

It wouldn't totally surprise me if Spider-Man 3's opening day is higher than this weekend's top ten total.

The Condemned - 142 (18), +26 (+5), B
The Invisible - 85 (13), +5 (+2), B
Kickin' It Old Skool - 63 (4), +4 (+0), B-
Next - 101 (15), +8 (+3), B

The increases for the last three are pathetic.

Next looks a lot like "Impostor". That one opened with a 1600-ish PTA.

I honestly have no idea how this works, but if Next is performing really horribly...could Disturbia possibly pull off a third weekend a #1? Or are the other releases performing well enough to likely outdo it?

If The Condemned opens at #1, it will be proof that American audiences have gone absolutely insane.

I would totally choose Condemned over any of the other 3 new releases. It has a good fun concept, it's just WWE.

Very unlikely. Next should have a low ratio even with an earlier appearance on the front page, so even if it just finishes with 200-250 reviews, that should be good enough for at least $3m and the top position.

Right now I think The Condemned is looking at $2m, The Invisible $2m, and Kickin' It $1m.

I agree with Zing that Spider-Man 3 could gross as much on its opening day as the top 10 this weekend combined. Imagine how much weaker the holdover's numbers will look next week. The market place is completely empty at this point.

The jump between #1 and #2 will be gigantic next week.

True

But considering how blank the box office will be other than Spider-Man 3, I'm not willing to count out Lucky You scrounging up a solid $12-13M yet.

3-hour:

The Condemned - 189 (23), +47 (+5), B-
The Invisible - 147 (25), +62 (+12), B-
Kickin' It Old Skool - 110 (12), +47 (+8), C+
Next - 132 (23), +31 (+8), B-

The pace picked up a little, but the grades are dropping too.

We are actually losing alot of ground to 2006 in this 2nd half of April. This weekend is dismal. But Spidey will make up for alot of that in the next two weeks.

I agree that Lucky You will most likely have a $12m+ opening. Perfect counterprogramming (romance/women) and will also capture spillover business (men/poker).

Uhm... Spider-Man is all about the romance and has plenty of appeal to women. I'm not sure how I feel about Lucky You's odds at doing decently.

This is four hours over the heart of the night, so yeah, in line with the terrible crowd reports. The Invisible shows the most life, and I won't be surprised if it beats Next today; it actually has the best chance of winning Friday over Disturbia.

Yeah, she called it a "mess" and still gave a B-. I think the great special effects are given, so most reviews are focusing on the negative aspects, which happened to be a lot more than what SM2 had, it appears. By comparison, MovieMom gave SM1 a B+ and SM2 A-.

POTC2 tracking started here. The clogging was starting to get serious then, but only in spurts, and it did finish with 6,570 reviews (1,923 written) for a reasonable ratio of 117.68. SM2 didn't have a high ratio either, so 3 should fall in similar range.

Just wondering, how will all the international reviews be taken into account for SM3?

I thought about it on the way home too. It'll definitely increase the ratio, given the record breaking numbers and the fact that it already earned so much before Friday. That could push it to be close to 150. Still think it'll be more like 130.
