The most effective way to prevent the whole incident is to stop Sylar from getting to radiation man, isn't it? Isn't that the power that gives the ability to explode like that? in the future timeline, peter exploded. they kept showing slyar's face because the world thought sylar did it. Sylar, posing as nathan hid what peter did and blamed it on himself so that the world would think that sylar is dead. peter survived the explosion cause he could heal. sylar survived cause he never blew up. Basically, last night's episode made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Sylar had Claire's powers after killing her, hence why Hiro's blade had no effect in the big battle, but evidently Claire's alive and well in the future. As far as I know, Sylar's shown no regenerational abilities thus far, so how he managed to get them without offing Claire in the process (her brain being disconnected from her body would almost certainly kill her) to survive Hiro's blade to the chest is anybody's guess. snrub you're not understanding. they explained that already hiro disrupted it the time line. when he disrupted the timeline, he ended up causing a fuck up that allowed claire to survive but let sylar avoid getting stabbed by hiro. they said it clearly in the episode. which is why present day hiro needs to go back and rectify that final mishap. read the time line i stated above. But, but... future Hiro says that he stabbed Sylar and Sylar regenerated. If changing time to save Claire affected the future we saw in this episode (in that she's now a part of it), then Hiro should've killed Sylar and the future should've been very different. The fact future hiro remembers stabbing Sylar and Sylar regenerating means the logic's all fucked up.
NO!!!!
he didn't stab him!!! thats the whole problem. the disruption fucks things up.
and thats the whole problem with the time travel story. Every time Hiro's past changes, he should be aware of it. But he wasnt even aware of the fact that original hiro saved teh cheerleader. which was stupid. basically what they ended up saying was that future hiro only remembers his own personal time line (he can see the changes all around him as they happen yet only remembers his own). but that too, is stupid

Hmmm... I'm not buying it. It's all rubbish!
Still, good episode though.

I buy it. It makes complete sense in my head. Just when I try to explain it it doesn't make any sense. But still it fits perfectly in my head. ;-)

I think it makes sense too. I'm not even going to try to explain it, like Donnie it fits in my head just fine so I'll leave it like that.
While I thought there was some holes(Most noticeably, Parkman not being able to read Nathan Syler's mind), the episode was pretty interesting, unique, and fun... It worked for me. These time travel episodes are impossible to explain so we might as well take the heroes time travel business for what it is.
Still love the show. And you can't say they didn't try with that episode. Twas good.
One thing I love too, future Hiro, future scarred Peter, we won't be seeing them after this season. In fact, most of S1 should wrap up completley by the finale. I must say I enjoy the prospects of a Buffy/Angel individual seasonal arcs over Lost's entire series arc. I like having that seperation, and now they have an oppurtunity to go in entirely new and fresh directions next year, rather than trying to work off this year's for the next two and end up with it being stale. I think Heroes will be just fine down the road.

I can't believe how many of you thought the episode was "meh". I was hoping for unanimous praise when I read the posts. I know I was excited to say how awesome the episode was, and how awesome Heroes is. Then I felt like someone kicked me square in the balls.
You people have incredibly high standards. Standards that no one can meet. Not even superheroes.

I agree
I watched it, thought "That was a great episode!" and then was dumbfounded when I came on here and no one liked it.

Yeah
Im not trying to make anything out of it, but it's pretty funny that the ratings arent as great as people though they would be after the show came back and people here started to be down on the show.
Good episode, right in line with what i've come to expect from the show.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of the NY explosion plotline. I'd rather more episodes like the one where the invisible man was teaching peter or mohinder was contacting the people across middle america who have powers. The main arc of the explosion always bored me.
But no big deal, the show remains fun to watch. As to ratings, I blame only that strangely long hiatus. They should have shown a rerun or two during it to keep the awareness going.

I think, no matter what happens with Peter and Sylar, New York is going to blow up.
Linderman wanting the services of Mikah, a techno?? He's going to create the bomb, me thinks.

I just really can't take Candice seriously. Not after seeing that actress in Stick It.

Syler is the one who will probable be responsible for the bomb, although in the original time line I suspsect Peter couldn't control Syler's powers and caused it but if Peter and the rest don't fight him NYC will be destroyed. Oh one thing I liked in the previews when Syler went, "Boom."

Filler compared to the last 2 episodes, but still worthy.
The snowglobe scene was incredible, and the last couple episodes with Hayden's "decision" will probably lock her up an Emmy nomination.
Nice to see Hiro becoming as important as anyone know, he had been under the radar for a while. I just can't care for Nikki though still.

Didn't like this episode, mostly because it focused on Hiro for a lot of it, who I really don't like.
The snow globe scene was good but clearly was a ripoff of Edward Scissorhands. The end had some nice payoff - the heroes finally all getting together - but it seemed very contrived. And I liked the bit where the kid couldn't find his way out - rather clever. Everything else was forgettable.

I thought it was a great episode, but I find Sylar to be a great villain, and I like Hiro.

We could get together during Heroes... and NOT watch it. It would be amazing.

Hayden is becoming so annoying. I really hope she dies. She's not Nikki level, but she's reaching it.
Wrong.
Good episode last night.
