2007 NFL Draft
Who's going #1?
I'm a JaMarcus Russell hater.

Oakland is going to take either CJ or a QB.

Someone will make a trade with Detroit for No. 2 and CJ. Tampa Bay looks like the most logical choice with their abundant draft selections, but I have a feeling they're reluctant to trade up two spots when CJ might fall to them anyway. However, if they don't make a trade, I'm certain another team will, whether it's Denver or Washington or someone else.

Nothing is going to help Oakland. Nothing is going to help Detroit. Nothing is going to help Cleveland.
They should all just quit.

I know more about football than you.
Oakland can get a QB in the 2nd or even 3rd round. They NEED Thomas, their O-line doesn't even exist.
Detroit's QB sucks. Quinn is by far better than Russell.
Cleveland also needs a QB. And since everyone thinks Russell is so great, they'll take him.
Tampa Bay has a great QB now, so they need Calvin Johnson.
What the hell is your problem?

For me, there are only two can't-miss prospects in this draft, CJ and AP. Yes, wide receivers need someone to throw them the ball, and running back needs help from the offensive line, but these are two positions where physical tools separate the elites from the pack the most. These are two players whose physical tools are as good as we've seen in many years.

I agree. And I will add Leon Hall. Because he's faster than people think, and he's smart

last time a lineman was drafted first overall was Orlando Pace back in 1997. There is no point for the raiders to draft an lineman either when they dont have a quarterback or receiver. They need a playmaker. And believe me, being a big 10 fanatic, Joe Thomas is no orlando pace. Russell will be gone by the 3rd pick and the cleveland will probably get adrian peterson. I could go pick by pick with ur whole mock draft and try to explain to you how to actually draft but that probably would just take up way way way way to much time, plus i'm lazy.

i agree with you, there is so much wrong with his draft and analysis that it isn't worth the time. I would rather wait for Saturday.

Well of course they're not GOING to draft Thomas first overall, but it's the ONLY thing that will help them. Their are SO many good QB's in the draft that they can get in the 2nd, or even 3rd round.
Randy Moss is still really good as well as Porter, they just needs a winning combo.
Even a GREAT QB behind a shitty line is going to suck. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would SUCK in Oakland with their current line.
If Jamarcus is drafted first overall, he's going to be the biggest bust in NFL history. Nobody even knew his name outside of Louisiana until AFTER the Sugar Bowl.
Cleveland needs a QB over a RB. IF both Quinn and Russell are gone, they will take Peterson, you are correct. But even if ONE of them is available, which almost every expert says, they're going to take whichever is there.

QB's are least safe to pick in the first round.
Very interesting article, though not too surprising.

It's probably going to be JaMarcus Russell. I'd be surprised if Oakland went with someone else.

and
Raiders Eye Russell. With the first pick in the NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders plan to take JaMarcus Russell, sources told ESPN.com's Michael Smith.

Chip already explained that's what he would have drafted if he is in control of all 32 teams, not what he expected the teams would actually do. This is like should win/will win thing with Oscar.
Not sure how far Quinn will drop now.

I am not sure who I feel worse for, Brady Quinn or Chip as they both are having a horrible day.

And I bet you guys got ALL of them right, right?
Don't be fucking stupid.
Quinn is gonna drop to KC or Chicago.

Leon Hall is falling a little too.
Cowboys are sitting pretty. Quinn could fall to them; that'd be nice. Romo still has to prove last year's blunder isn't hanging over his head, and he doesn't have a long term contract anyway.

St. Louis is gonna take SOMEBODY on defense. Buffalo should've taken a CB.
