Guerilla: The Taking of Patty Hearst
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390299/?fr ... ;ft=1;fm=1
Just saw the trailer for it today and it looks like it could be excellent. I'm excited...coming up very soon, but it looks to be a travelling doc. Anyone know or heard anything about it yet?
I haven't really heard anything about director Stone's past films, and have to ashamedly admit I know nothing about this incident. But hey, even the trailer was very informative and intense.
Can't wait. Any day now please...

Dug up more info:
official site: http://www.guerrillathemovie.com/
playdates: http://www.guerrillathemovie.com/home.html
gahhhhhhh it already passed through New York and I didn't even know. I will try to catch it when it hits Boston though, since I might need to be back up here around then anyways.
I know nothing about this, so even the right up about the Symbionese Liberation Army on the site is interesting to me.
RottenTomatoes : http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/guerril ... ty_hearst/
Has it at 95% fresh with 100% Cream of the Crop. 22 reviews with only one of them going rotten. I hope at least one person on the site gets to see this?

I am going back up to Boston, so will infact be able to watch it at Kendall. I will let you know all about it Kypade. I hope you get the chance to see it before dvd release, because that is a long way down the road.
I like watching history documentaries, even the scewed ones, its one of the best ways, I think, to familiarize one'self with alot of material one otherwise probably wouldn't be exposed to.
I know nothing about this, so its going to be quite informative, and hopefully it is also well done and has an interesting position to express, because otherwise its now much better than reading a chapter in a generic history book.

Kypade, I just came back from seeing it. I hope it does come to your area. Its pretty straight-forward but includes massive amounts of footage including their robbing of the Habierna Bank and the Shoot-Out in L.A. It also has about 5 of her voice messages to her father and you get to hear how she got progressively more aggressive. Then the affidavit at her arrest turning everything around. It was very interesting, but more-so to me, who had never heard about this, than to say, my parents, who just told me now how they remember all the coverage first hand, etc.
B+
I'm going to work on the official revue now.
