Post What's your favorite Oscar wins ever? Summary on Page # 2
What are your favorite Oscar wins ever?

For me, easy choice as Return of the King wrapped up a great movie series ( or 1 great movie - if you must say that ) and was a perfect movie and was the runaway choice at the Oscars that year. So it had to be ROTK winning best picture.

This thread should be deleted, or the poll changed. The thread is biased, and thus useless, really.

PEACE, Mike ;)

For those who don't get it. It is a seperate question from the thread.

Since everyone stays that LOTR sweeps all thread questions. I wanted to put LOTR againist everything. Lets see how dominate it was.

Then you can make any statement in your post about your answers.

Pretty simple.

To all those above who don't like it.

Sorry but I guess it is good that I liked the poll and started it as well as the 7 people who were smart enough to realize that it is a good poll by responding.

All it is asking is, is the answer LOTR.

or

Something else.

I would agree if I didn't include the other - It is not LOTR but since you have that option, I am fine with the way that the poll stands.

Sorry to those who disagree.

SL is a pretty good choice.

And congrats, because unlike the other people above who only complained, you at least were smart enough to answer the question.

Just another reason that I don't care about the above people who didn't like the poll.

Well so far, it is a pretty fair fight = LOTR vs everything else.

What is your favorite Oscar win ever?
Return of the King for BEST PICTURE = 54% [ 6 ]
One of the Oscars for The Two Towers = 9% [ 1 ]
SORRY, IT IS AN OSCAR WIN OTHER THAN ANY LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIES = 36% [ 4 ]

Total Votes : 11

I agree. LOTR is just a film like any other, the poll is dominated by this film....thus making it useless.
----------------------
I think that Rocky's Oscar for Best Picture was the greatest win ever. Followed by the Oscar for Best Director (John G. Avilsden), followed by Rocky's Oscar for Best Editing

Blah, Blah, blah - It is just LOTR vs. everything else ( what else could hold up to that ) and it is still a 50 / 50 tie.

Having reviewed this in awhile.

Glad ROTK continues to dominate

One movie to rule them all.

Titanic winning best picture
Cameron winning best director
Spielberg winning for Schindler and SVP
Tarantino winning best screenplay
Stallone winning for best screenplay
And one of my fave wins was American Beauty winning for best picture. I was so happy to see one of the best films ever actually get rewarded from the academy.

Recently, The Incredibles winning Sound Editing. Well-deserved indeed and I think the first time an animated film won an award other than the music category.
