I Think I Love My Wife
I Think I Love My Wife Quote: I Think I Love My Wife is a romantic comedy-drama 2007 film directed by and starring Chris Rock and Kerry Washington. Rock co-wrote (with Louis C.K.) and produced the film. It is a remake of the 1972 French film, Chloe in the Afternoon by Éric Rohmer.

I think the big problem people are going to have with this movie is that it's not really uproariously funny. There are a couple of laugh out loud moments like the scene in the ambulance, but nothing you would expect from a screenplay written by Rock and Louis C.K.. A lot of the humor was really subtle. What I was actually surprised at was that the film was Woody Allen-ish. Not great Woody Allen or even good Woody Allen, but in that style and for Rock that's something different and it works, in Rock's style. I'm not sure if that made any sense but I'll pretend like it did.

B+, great concept and great movie. Too bad Chris Rock is now a box office poison. It would have easily been a $100m+ hit if he hired a box office draw like Adam Sandler or Will Smith for the lead.

Re: I Think I Love My Wife
Not as funny as I expected (although some good laughs, like in the ambulance and all). But it's not bad. Chris Rock is really great in this, though, and I liked it mainly because of his performance. Otherwise, just okay.
