Wow, this is tough for me. I still think I have to vote for Babel, but there is some real shit on that list.

Babel- F
The Hours- F
Chicago- D
Thin REd Line- F
Million Dollar Baby- D
Gosford Park- D
Shaekspeare in Love- C

So I guess is it a tie between barf bag Brad, The horrible Hours and ensemble disaster that was TRL.

Oh O..

I've just checked, and found out that NONE of BP nominee films in last 10 years got less than C+ from me

and those two are Gangs of New York and err.. The Thin Red Line

By the way even though it was nominated 11 or 12 years ago, after seeing Jerry McGuire I have to include it as one of the most undeserving BP nominees anytime recently. Not that the film is terrible, I give it about a B, but it just isn't worthy of Best Picture consideration at all, it's a super light super fluffy enjoyable romcom, except it isn't all that funny. I think it's lighter than Little Miss Sunshine and As Good As It Gets, and it just doesn't have that high quality filmmaking aspect to it, as much as I love Crowe. I am shocked it got nominated. It's like a Hugh Grant movie getting a BP nomination.

Yeah, Sideways and The Pianist were the best nominees in their respective years.

You just can't please everyone. And I still liked Sideways (specially Virginia Madsen and the ending, which ironically seem to be to most debated parts, heh), I just don't think it was worthy of all the praise, that's all. ;)
