Yep, looks like it was a good show, bar CoM's disgusting snubs. Sorry I missed it.
I blame Mother's Day.

Ah, sorry I missed this! Awesome winners for the most part. A big hell yea to Rinko Kikuchi, Marky Mark, The Departed, and Children of Men! The only win I don't really like is Pirates for visuals.

Can all those lamenting the victory of Helen Mirren please watch The Queen. There's a reason she won every award in the world. Thank You.
And, in the event that you are complaining and have seen The Queen, then please watch it again, this time with your head out of your ass.

I watched it.
It was ok. She did not deserve to win over Meryl Streep or Kate Winslet. Period.

Then you need to kindly follow my second set of instructions. The one with the head out of the ass.

Was too busy to attend, but just read the whole thread. Kudos for the great organizing job!
Nice results, except for CoM taking BP, but as it was a great film by itself, I can live with that.
However, Borat losing Best Comedy to LMS (which is an infinitely inferior comedy) is pathetic.
Great for all the Departed wins.

No, I watched it and was really looking forward to it.
Sure, Streep gave a great impersonation but that took infinitely less talent than Streep or Winslet who had to create their characters.
Sorry. But you are wrong. Very wrong.

And major props to torri and Zing as well. Ross was instrumental in getting the show to run smoothly.

And Jeff, you were comparing Streep to Streep, for some reason.

Jeff, do you by any chance live at the intersection of Madness Dr. and What-The-Fuck-Are-You-Talking-About Lane?

yeah, the impersonation bit is a lil insane and insane and fkn insane.
I was a little disappointed actually...
not enough Children of Men love, and the rest were all just sort of meh. Great job with everything, everybody...just wish you all had my same taste, exactly (you'd be happier for it i promise :o :O :o )

Sorry, I meant to say that Mirren gave a great performance.
I've spelled it all out previously and my utter disdain for her win in some thread. Need I bring it all back up including my justification?
