Not really. OVerall I think CoM > Departed, but the Screenplay for The Departed is better.

Actually, it could come right down to Director. I could see Scorsese win and CoM win, but that's about it.

And yeah, The Departed is better written, but CoM is better directed, so it'll be interesting to see which wins.

This could be close between Letters and Pan's (and Volver), but I think too many people have seen Pan's.

Yeah, Volver has the BP nom, but Pan's has the post-nomination exposure.

i actually think the best foreign film category is much stronger than the best picture one.
