Actually, I have. Why would you assume otherwise? The awful reviews its getting are deserved.

I agree with RT. Because I Said So was shrill, annoying, and so very predictable. Only slightly better than the crappy Wedding Date, also from Gold Circle Films.

 Front page impact
From looking at updated numbers, I'm going to have to say that the front page for Because I Said So is going to have been enough to pump up the ratio considerbly, it will probably of had a 3-4 million Friday.

Because people here usually judge movies like that without seeing them.
I apologize.

Messengers looks to have had a veery low ratio, Because I said So just a little high but not a lot, after all.

Quite a low ratio for Messengers. I think a lot of us are just looking at early signs and jumping to conclusions with these teen flicks like Epic Movie and The Messengers. They're hard to track. These films are consistantly the ones that outperform tracking and expectations by almost DOUBLE sometimes (The Messengers will be close to double with its $8m tracking and $15m opening; I think Date Movie also did the same). And just because the film's looking weak in the afternoon of a SCHOOL day doesn't mean it's not going to pick up at night.

That's indeed an incredible low ratio for The Messengers. Look like with the new design, if there is no clogging and if the film isn't put on the front page all day, a lot fewer people are grading the film. The small written-to-overall ratio of 1:7 is the one thing that suggested a low ratio, but nothing really pointed to a number in the 60 range.

All things considered, that's a pretty good grade for The Messengers. Usually these teen horror films get C-D grades on a regular basis.

Written reviews at this hour:
Hannibal Rising - 12, grade of 'A"
Norbit - 3, grade of 'B-'
An excellent start for Hannibal Rising. It will take another 4-6 hours to determine if its pacing is legitimate.

Hannibal Rising 16, +4, A
Norbit 5, +2, B-
We'll add the overall reviews later if Yahoo unclogs.

Hannibal Rising 21 (71), +5 (+0), C+
Norbit 7 (77), +2 (+0), B
I'm going to make an early call and say $30M for Norbit is out. Even if it achieves 85 written reviews (a generous 12x projection), it would need a ratio under 8 for an $11M Friday. With 112 reviews (a tremendous 16x projection), it would need a ratio of 10. Neither is likely to happen.

Norbit is on the front page, so throw my review figures out the window. I stand by under $30M, however.

I wouldn't be too hasty with Norbit. It seems like a movie that would get its sales mostly on Sat and Sun. I'm predicting Norbit to perform at tracking or below too, but I don't think we'll know just yet.

"Hasty" is my middle name. What good is 6 days of research if I can't throw out some early guesses?

Hannibal Rising should have about 1,000 overall reviews. I'd say a $5m Friday.
Being on front page for a while could mean a bigger written percentage and about 2,500 total reviews. $10-12m.

Early partial numbers from notfabio at HSX seem to indicate around
4-5M for Hannibal Rising
10-11M for Norbit.
