BauerPower is absolutely right, this is the all-time biggest blunder for America ever. I can't see the upside to it, unless of course it's part of a brilliant secret plan by America's enemies to taunt them into self-destruction...

Hey, wadda ya know -- looks like I mighta been right!

According to US Intelligence:

Quote:
Documents captured after 9/11 showed that bin Laden hoped to provoke the United States into an invasion and occupation that would entail all the complications that have arisen in Iraq. His only error was to think that the place where Americans would get stuck would be Afghanistan.
Bin Laden also hoped that such an entrapment would drain the United States financially. Many al-Qaeda documents refer to the importance of sapping American economic strength as a step toward reducing America’s ability to throw its weight around in the Middle East.

which if nothing else disproves some of the talk around here that before the Iraq invasion, no one knew that things would turn bad...

Well that's what conservatives WANT people to believe, the ol' "how could we have known?" mantra that is total and utter bullshit. They don't want to be saddled with the blame, and who can blame them for that, but it's an outright lie - and the brainwashed conservative fools on this site swallow it up whole.

And what's amazing is that they KEEP doing it. They all support the escalation, even when some of them admit that the guy who started this whole thing fucked it up so totally. And yet THAT is the guy we should be listening to about what to do next?!

What makes something like this so disgusting is that it's Bush and his brainless cronies who have accused Democrats of siding with terrorists, enabling terrorists, of being fans of Bin Laden and Saddam, of being traitors, and stating that Bin Laden wants Democrats to win so you should vote Republican.

If that's the case, Bin Ladin is a lot smarter then our leaders...

So is your average turnip.

Did anyone catch Condi Rice's latest fucktard-orama comments? This is the fucking Secretary of State! What is it with right-wingers lately who think they can just invent their own reality, and that no one will question them on it? Well, she did say it Fox Noise Channel, so obviously no one there would argue with her, but GOOD GRIEF!

Here's what that dumbass said about Dems possibly revoking the 2002 war authorization in Iraq:

"…It would be like saying that after Adolf Hitler was overthrown, we needed to change then, the resolution that allowed the United States to do that, so that we could deal with creating a stable environment in Europe after he was overthrown."

Seriously. These are our leaders. Is it any wonder we're in the mess we're in?

At the time of her appoinment to the cabinet, national security was our lowest priority... Where have we gone since???
I think she's still in denial... She's been a mouthpiece.. But they all are... No leaders, except Rummy and he was wrong...

Can't believe I missed this thread before.

I must say, I've been a hidden fan of the wild political cronies on this board, and this thread is their crowning achievement. :2thumbsup:
