the Talladega Nights clip made it worth it.

They've honored that and Snakes on a Plane. That's a good academy!

I'm still mad about Pan's losing foreign film and score.

Bah!

It's still leading the win count, but should be tied and maybe overtaken by The Departed soon.

His speech was good; funny and nice to see him acknowledge his body of work with DiCaprio.

What the fuck is with the announcers and these snide comments?

(Paraphrasing) "The Departed, the first Martin Scorsese film with a plot!"

The World is round, 2 + 2= 4, and the Departed is the Best Picture of 2006! This is one of the happiest days of my life! I can't believe it pulled it off! Seeing Scorsese was worth everything! The night besides the leading actors and a few others spots was very unpredictable. All together it finished off with a high note and i am in HEAVEN!!!!!!

I still can't fucking believe the Academy snubbed the Dreamgirls songs right after those performances!

That's so typical of them with the song awards though. They always go with the blandest, whitest song of them all.

When did they honor Snakes? I didn't watch the whole show.

Somewhere in the middle of the 255 minute opus. The shadowdancers and "Ellen" (I'd bet any money it wasn't her) formed together to make the Snakes on a Plane logo.

LMAO!!!!!!!

F'in Three 6 Mafia one last year, wtf are you smoking? Obviously it was split voting that screwed Dreamgirls.

I sooooo disagree.

Besides, last year's win is unique enough. Bring on the safe, compelling lesbians.

Seriously, I can't stand the sound of any of the Dreamgirl's original fluff. Gag.
