Love & Hate: The Babel/Crash Poll...
Following up on a question I asked in the Babel thread over in the "Everyone's a Critic" forum, I'd like to know the distribution of love and hate towards the two films Babel and Crash...

Babel: ***
Crash: 1/2*
I guess you could say I liked Babel and hated Crash?
Certainly neither of them are deserving of a Best Picture award.

I worded the poll as a "forced choice" -- don't feel you have to absolutely love or hate either movie to vote.
Please feel free to read love/hate as like/dislike, good/bad, better/worse, etc....

Let's see.
Crash: A (or ****)
Babel: B+ (or ***)
I think Crash was a pretty deserving winner, Babel would not be.

I give Babel the edge, it's the less manipulative and dishonest film, plus when it comes to superior storytelling and director Inarritu>>>>>Haggis

Certainly neither of them are deserving of a Best Picture award.
I am similar, I HATED Crash, Babel was a mixed bag, some things worked, others didn't, I didn't hate it but I am not oging to watch it again. I left Crash seeing it opening wweekend,t hings good God that was horrible, I left Babel thinking, well why are we talking about this again...
Niether deserved to be nominated, let alone win.

I know you guys are probably starting to hate my Babel bashing, but here it is:
Crash- 9/10
Babel- 3/10
Crash is such a great film and deserving of best picture, but Babel is not even a movie. It's just so shit and terribly made and so on.
