Can't say any of the "winners" surprise me. Basic Instinct 2 was earmarked ever since it was released to horrid reviews.

Also, I am glad Mission: Impossible III, which I absolutely loved, was nowhere to be found. I feared, despite good reviews, it might pop up in the Razzies simply because it stars who it stars.

The Razzies suck. I watched part of their live broadcast, but after the mispronounciation of Shyamalan and Boll's names, painfully unfunny jokes (Basically, It Stinks Too?!?), and overall immaturity (I know they're "satire," but really, can't they do better than having the two presenters make a "II" for Basic Instinct 2 with their middle fingers?), I couldn't take it anymore.
Overall, the Stinker awards are much better, but they'll throw in a really bizzare nomination sometimes like David Lynch in the same category as Uwe Boll (Boll won though, thank God).

Hehe, Shyamalan's effort was not last year's worst, but I am still glad he was "awarded".

I'm glad that Date Movie at least got some recognition (via Carmen Electra).
