 Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider Quote: Ghost Rider is a 2007 superhero film written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson. Based on the character of the same name which appeared in Marvel Comics, the film stars Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist who morphs into the vigilante Ghost Rider.

It was kind of better than Daredevil (which really doesn't say much). I give this one props for at least having intentional humor and the cast seemed to know the kind of movie they were doing. Big plus for having eye candy (MATT LONG) in the beginning of the movie.

The biggest problem with the film is it's tone. When it's dark, it's a little too dark for it's own good. When it's comical, likewise. It didn't get in the way of my overall enjoyment of the film, but it's still a problem. I also had a problem with Wes Bentley. Yes, he looks creepy, but not menacing. That's not a good quality for the ruler of the underworld's son. The last small problem I had with the film was the overacting in certain scenes. See Kill's sig (For future reference, it's the scene in The Wicker Man where Cage gets attacked by bees). Blaze's first transformation into Ghost Rider is supposed to come across as being painful. It ends up coming across as being eerily similar to that scene in The Wicker Man.
On the bright side, the film moves quickly. Why? Because despite of it's shortcomings, it's entertaining. The action sequences are pretty good (The ending was kind of lame though) and the CGI was acceptable. I also thought the story, for what it was, was actually kind of interesting. I also enjoyed the clevage work done by Eva Mendes. Every scene she's in is just stunning. Did she talk at all during the film? I forget.

Bring on a second one.

Ghost Rider was just doing okay for me. i didn't expect much ever since i bought the ticket. the CGI was pretty good. Nicolas Cage performance was good but not great. the ending just not very interesting as the other action scenes in the middle of the movie. Eva Mendes and her cleavage appearance just for eye-candy, and that's just it. overall it still an enjoyable movie. it's not like a movie we are looking forward to see the second time. one time is more than enough.

Totally agree with Bell. Low expectations going in and its an enjoyable film- much like DOA in fact. Its better than Daredevil and unlike that film doesnt take itself too seriously. Its nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. I guess that's why it has a decent B grade at yahoo. It also helps that it was filmed nearby so interesting to spot a few places.
Wes Bentley and his elemental buddies made a great entrance I thought - but were then not used to their full effect.
And nice cleavage there Eva!
Grade: B+ (for the entertainment value as thats what I expected from a Ghostrider movie)
edit: just read Jmart's review - good review, agree with alot of that - especially about Blaze's first transformation into Ghostrider.

I give it a solid B, it was an entertaining popcorn flick. I would rate it slightly better than Daredevil as well.

A little disappointed, actually. I liked it, definitely, but it's sometimes too cheesy even for me (I think I'm turning into you WOKJ peeps, helpppppp). Not better than Daredevil. It's just a solid popcorn flick. Great effects. <3333 Eva Mendes.

Fantastic special effects can't rescue horrid pacing and subpar writing. Only an enjoyably quirky performance from Cage saves it from the dumpster.

I didn't go to see Ghost Rider for acting or script. So, I won't bother myself to say much about that. I was looking for SOME fun (repeat: SOME) and the result is boring flick with unexciting action scenes. I would grade this movie with F if not for Matt Long (and that one scene with a cute funky girl, I liked her!).

Bad bad dialogue but then thats what I expected that from the film. Not as bad as Fantastic Four but little bit below Daredevil. You can still probably enjoy the movie by having the volume off and watch it for the FX and Eva Mendes cleavage.

I'm sorry, but this movie just seemed to be one huge joke. All of it was so cliche and the dialogue...... ugggghhh! I was laughing while walking out of the theater. This just seems like a really bad small film with a really big budget to run loose with. Oh and the speical effects were still just alright for me. I knew from the first time i saw the trailer that this movie was made too soon. I believe in a few years they will have the technology to knock some socks off, but the flaming skull and everything else was just alright for me. I am glad i saw it though, i think.....

Probably the best movie ever made, up there with Godfather and Children of Men.
If you don't love this movie you don't understand film
Grade - A+

If for nothing else, this movie deserves a C minimum based on the amazing cleavage work done by the lovely Eva Mendes. This came close to the gold standard of cleavage performances done by Salma Hayek In After the Sunset. But added to this movie is great action scenes with horrible cheesy dialougue. About what I expected.

One scene stopped this from being a complete waste of money. You're kidding yourself if you found this movie fun. It was hopeless.

There are five reviews in this thread that directly mention Eva Mendes' cleavage as one of this film's good things.
That should tell you everything you need to know about the movie.

Alot better than I thought it would be. The CGI was great. Cage and Mendes were great. The acting by those four D bags were bad. Good movie.
