Tonight's episode had a very bittersweet feel to it.
It felt like, to me, the first time you could tell the show was coming to a close.
Hard to believe there are only three more episodes.

Tonights episode was good. But not great. Same with Scrubs. 30 Rock was the funniest tonight.

Good episode overall but I was kind of hoping Julie would end up with Bullet.

So do I. Kevin Sorbo is annoying.

I just watched it and I actually adored last night's episode. I loved all of the references to past seasons and the flashbacks, and I agree that it definitely feels like it is coming to an end now But anyways, it was one of the sweetest, most enjoyable and heartfelt hours of the show ever. This is one of my favorite episodes, and there were quite a few moments where I teared up.

Lots of news on The OC has been released today!
First off, some great news. SOAPNet has officially picked up The OC for syndication! It will be airing every episode Monday-Friday at 6pm
Second, the final episode completed shooting on Friday and the cast and crew said their goodbyes. Here's an article from TVSeriesFinale.com where the actors share some of their favorite moments over the show's four year run.
As the fans of The O.C. know all too well, FOX cancelled the drama early last month after four seasons. Many people were upset and campaigned for the CW network to pick up the series for a fifth season. Unfortunately, that didn't happen so there are just a few episodes left before we say goodbye to the families and friends from Southern California.
The cast and crew of The O.C. wrapped their final episode on Friday and it sounds like creator Josh Schwartz has a lot of interesting and satisfying plot twists in store. Before the cast departed for the last time, they shared their favorite memories and their feelings about the show's demise.
Rachel Bilson (Summer Roberts): "Favorite moment or scene: I like the episode last year where at prom I got really drunk and fell off the stage and it was my first time doing a stunt, so I like to brag and tell people that I can do stunts. Oh, the Spiderman kiss of course. The Spiderman kiss was so cool."
Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen): "It's sad, because I saw great things for this show. But it's exciting because I am looking forward to doing something else. I'll miss this crew and this cast but it's also the longest job I've ever had in my life. I guess my favorite moment was the day I read the pilot script. That was very exciting. And I certainly loved singing in the second season."
Autumn Reeser (Taylor Townsend): "I think the show has definitely made me more confident as an actor because I have been acting for a long time but never every single day of my life. It teaches you to come to work when you are sick and to come to work when you are exhausted and to come to work even though you've only had two hours of sleep and still do the work... because you have to."
Willa Holland (Kaitlin Cooper): "I definitely feel like I am losing my favorite show to watch and my favorite show to be on, so watching it end is really depressing and sad."
Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan Atwood): "I just want to thank everyone for watching for four years. And supporting us. It's meant a lot. It'll be a shame to have to move on. But life goes on."
Adam Brody (Seth Cohen): "Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed it. If you are upset, don't worry, there are DVDs."
Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper): "It's a little bittersweet, a little sad, but I think we are all happy with the way it is ending. The audience will be very satisfied with the storyline. They won't feel there is anything left to question."
The series finale of The O.C. will air on Thursday, February 22nd on FOX. Don't miss it and stay tuned.
Finally, the title of the finale has been released - in one of the few bits of information that FOX is letting out about this top-secret episode (apparently any spoiler that has been released for the episode should be considered a foiler at this point). It will be called:
"The End's Not Near, It's Here"
Wow, that title made me really depressed all of a sudden

I think that for the final episode, they shouldn't show a preview for it after the prior episode, just let everything be a surprise.

It should be short and have clips from past episodes and say something to the effect of "After four years, they are finally saying goodbye. Don't miss the series finale of the show that started it all. THE OC - Series Finale."

GREAT episode last night! The Ryan-Taylor scenes were adorable as usual and I loved the Julie/Sandy storyline as well. I'm glad Seth and Summer have worked out their problems as well. And the ending was incredibly intense. Next week's episode looks phenomenal!
Only two episodes left before this show is gone forever It's going to be weird not watching this talented ensemble week after week.

Rumor has it that the final scene of the final episode is going to feature the song "Any Other World" by Mika. To hear it, click on the link below.

I love the song and can see it fitting perfectly with the show. It's going to make the last episode even more depressing

I would love the final scene to have to the theme song "California" play. It's how the show started in August 2003 and it would be a nice ending song.

It's going to start off like that though with the opening credits, so I'm alright with them not playing it twice. Plus, if you listen to the song that's planned for the end, you will probably change your mind.
I do think the episode should mostly feature songs that were really representative of the series as a whole, since it has relied so much on music over the course of its run.

After listening to that song I feel that would be a great song for the final show. Wow it's hard to believe The O.C. will be gone after two episodes.

Great episode.
One more episode. As much as this show was a guilty pleasure, it'll be a little sad to say goodbye to it. I guess that's what happens to something you've watched for three/four years.

That episode was phenomenal. Seriously, they are really going out on a high note. I laughed, cried and was incredibly intrigued by everything that was happening.
And I can't believe next week's is the last one ever. It still hasn't hit me yet. I watched this show from the very first episode, I remember it premiering and instantly becoming addicted, and it's going to be hard to say goodbye to one of my favorite ensembles on television. Oh, and I hope the finale is as amazing as it sounds, because this show deserves a great sendoff.
I actually am going to be very disappointed if they don't play the Mika song I posted above in the final scene. I've been listening to it nonstop, and I've come to identify it with the show's finale. It would be the perfect way to end it.

Tomorrow night is the series finale.
Well at least the show is going out on a high note.
Btw, the final song will be "Life's a Song" by Patrick Park.
