 2005 Films in Review
The new year begins tomorrow, so let's get this thread started. Similar to the other threads, just make a list of the movies you saw with the grade you gave it. Hopefully some great movies this year.

Great, I'll start off:
A
B
C
D
F
V- The Grade of Shame
More to come
Note: I'll just use this to update, instead of post it all the time.
Btw, I expect a lot of good films, esp. in animation. I'm really curious to see how the summer will go. Could we have a high-quality one?

Oh, damn, I just noticed
I'll change it to V, which is the closest thing to an A inverted.
P.S., I'm glad we don't have anyone named Fingerling here

Anyways, about the year, I hope it's going to be good. When 2004 began, I thought that the year was going to suck (aside from Spider-Man II and a few others), but it turned out to have some great movies. Hopefully, 2005 will be the same.

*sigh* Another year gone. I haven't even seen all of what I wanted to see in 2004.
For January I'll probaly only see Elektra and Hide and Seek. For 2005, I'm hoping Sin City and Goblet of Fire will be somewhere in the A/A- range.

Hm, more likely than not, I think the first film I'll see in theatres will be War of the Worlds. The two others would be Wallace and Gromit, and Chicken Little. I have no interest in any of the others, as of yet.
Maybe King Kong?

Not really. I mean, don't get me wrong, if I have the time or am in the mood, I'll go watch it, but it's not an absolute must.
Actually, no 2005 release is. I don't mind watching SW3 on DVD, or Batman or WOTW.
This year, Sm2 and The Incredibles were the only 2 must-sees, and I was right on both counts 2005 has no Spidey or Pixar.
Ohhhhhhh
And I'm not a fanboy of any frnachise, except maybe Spidey, that's it. Everything else is just 'movies'.

on another note, http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/index2005.html has like....150 releases for December 31st 2005...what a day that's gonna be... or maybe that's just where they put all the 2005 releases without a release date yet... hmm...:?

obviously, they put all the known 2005 releases there. There are only 6,000 theatres in North America, that's not enough to contain all those films, since that would mean 250 releases at the exact same time (the other 100 being prior to Dec. 31st).

There's some decent-looking movies coming out in the next two months.

The only 2005 movies I have interest in this month are Hide and Seek and Assault on Precinct 13. I might see Alone In The Dark if it can live up to the early decent buzz it's getting, but I seriously doubt that will happen with Uwe Boll at the helm. I'll spend most of January catching up with 2004 films I missed.
BTW - White Noise was a terrible way to start the year.
