I think it's going to be a lot closer than that. I'm currently thinking a little under 10 for Eragon, around 8.5 - 9ish for Happyness, and 4 for C-Web.

If Eragon is indeed at or under 10, we will see a very high ratio. I suppose it's possible given the fanbase.

Wait, huh? Is there really product placement that obvious in the movie?

Early written ratios, based on BOM estimates:
Eragon: 77.3
The Pursuit of Happyness: 12.3
Charlotte's Web: 5.8
That is super high for Eragon. Even after it was apparent that it would get the high fanboy ratio, we were looking for 50-ish, which would have been perhaps a 160+ traditional ratio. At 77+, this is what, like a 250+ traditional ratio? That's big under the old system for past years, but is enormous for the last couple months, with ratio averages getting pushed down all year.
With Pursuit at 12.3, and looking at Thunder's compilation of the last couple weeks of written ratios, it looks like 10-15 is the new standard for normal mainstream films. Pursuit might have been a 60-80 traditional ratio. Charlotte was a total dud, but the sample size is so low, that it's hard to say. Perhaps a 40-50 traditional ratio, and kids films might normally have 6-12 ratios. Really tough to predict with the few # of writtens that come in, though.
Perhaps Xiayun, Thunder, or others can offer better guidance than this. Comments and others people's analysis are welcomed.

Yesterday's finals were
Eragon: 666
Pursuit: 111
C-Web: 20
Todays reviews so far (total subtracted from yesterday)
Eragon: 262
Pursuit: 65
C-Web: 120
If C-Web really was at 20 yesterday and at 120 today, then this looks like a big jump for Sat. Don't know what to make of Eragon. Perhaps it is slipping but I'm guessing the hardcore fanboy contingent is no longer inflating the numbers. I'm hoping that it will hold.

No one really follows these movie review ratios for Saturday. From what little I have looked at in the past few months it seems like the majority of mainstream movies will always have a lot less reviews Saturday compared to Friday. Not sure why this is, Thunder or anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I'm guessing people that watch movies on the opening day feel they can tell us something we don't already know compared to people who see it on the 2nd or 3rd. At least that makes sense.

Eragon was also on the front page all day yesterday, so it won't reach numbers anywhere close.

Good summary, RT! Eragon and Charlotte's Web really distorted the range and made the numbers appear random.

Rocky Balboa 10, +0, F
I'll add the overall reviews if it looks like they won't be clogged today. It's obvious Rocky has a very strong online presence, so I'm going to assume a ratio of 40 for now. The pacing of the written reviews will dictate if this should be adjusted throughout the day.

Rocky Balboa 64, +19, F
At this pace, I'm shifting the minimum ratio to 55.

Scanning the written reviews, I would guesstimate the average grade at an A/B+

Rocky is on the front page, which explains the increased pace.

Frontpage or not, this thing is exploding! It's matching Eragon (roughly, I didn't check the last couple pages of the thread with a fine tooth comb), and Eragon's reviews came from midnights, whereas Rocky didn't have them. So basically, there were a few advance screening,s but mainly, people are going to see this, and East Coast reviews are pushing this way up! Looks great for Rocky so far.
