The increases are weak expectedly, as this was the busiest shopping day of the year. People are far too busy to see movies until tommorow. Granted NS went up 30%, and has FINALLY passed $30 m! It's down 18% from its opening day 23 days ago. So for a release to open in 3000 + theaters, and never get past $3 m in its entire run, its doing pretty good considering the weak opening. It has a 3.94 multiplier, and should be able to get to 4.5 + in the end. Even Sunday's total won't be so bad, as I could see alot of people seeing this on Sunday before Monday. So alot depends on its hold after Monday...

Here are my rough estimates for the weekend, if estimates aren't issued:
3day:
1. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM $31.19 m
2. PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, THE $14.41 m (-45.7%)
3. ROCKY BALBOA $12.87 m
4. GOOD SHEPHERD, THE $9.716 m
5. CHARLOTTE'S WEB $7.95 m (-30.6%)
6. ERAGON $7.187 m (-69.1%)
7. WE ARE MARSHALL $6.474 m
8. HAPPY FEET $5.13 m (-38.7%)
9. HOLIDAY, THE $4.807 m (-40%)
10. NATIVITY STORY, THE $4.681 m (+0.5%)
While these might appear low based on Fri/Sat #'s, Sunday business just drops off immensely.
To find the 4day grosses, I multiplied all of the 3day grosses by 1.33, which many films in 2000 seemed to have. Of course, this is a very rough estimate.
1. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM $41.48 m
2. PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, THE $19.17 m (-27.8%)
3. ROCKY BALBOA $17.18 m
4. GOOD SHEPHERD, THE $12.92 m
5. CHARLOTTE'S WEB $10.57 m (-7.7%) (I bet this one will outdo the 1.33 multiplier, probably closer to 1.4, $11.13 m weekend)
6. ERAGON $9.56 m (-58.9%)
7. WE ARE MARSHALL $8.61 m
8. HAPPY FEET $6.82 m (-18.4%)
9. HOLIDAY, THE $6.39 m (-20.23%)
10. NATIVITY STORY, THE $6.44 m (+38.3%)

Here's the multipliers of films in 2000, for their 4 day grosses that weekend, and how much more $ they added to their totals:
1 N Cast Away 4.86X more
2 1 What Women Want 5.21X more
3 N The Family Man 4.02 X more
4 3 How the Grinch Stole Christmas 1.69X more
5 N Miss Congeniality 6.71 X more
6 4 The Emperor's New Groove 6.8X more
7 N Dracula 2000 2.82X more
8 5 Vertical Limit 5.45 X more
9 2 Dude, Where's My Car? 3.92 X its 4day weekend more
10 13 Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Not a good comparison
Take note. To find the estimated totals for the 2006 films, multiply the multipliers by the estimated 4day weekend total, and then add the weekend total + previous total for a final gross.
Ex. Say Cast Away made $39 m in its 4day weekend. Its additional total was 4.86 times this total ($230 m).

Poor for CW. It should have had an increase similar to Happy Feet's. Yet Eragon was even able to increase more, strange.

You think charlotte will outdo the 1.33 multiplier. I think it will do less, remember, Kid movie increase anymore than 20% from Eve to Day. Some even dropped. They recover the most the day after Christmas.
