Wow, critics are REALLY pushing Borat and Wahlberg, aren't they?

Remember a couple of months ago when I told you I could see Wahlberg possibly getting a nomination because of so much passion towards his performance?

*giggles at Dreamgirls*
I'm glad about the love for Departed and U93, but what brought the biggest smile on my face was the nomination for Brick. Although I don't believe in it for a little bit, wouldn't it be great to have it walk away with a Screenplay Oscar nomination?

Completely agree... Most overrated movie of the year?

Same here (also gave it a C). I just didn't feel for these people making stupid things, it became boring after the first half hour or so - and the "cinema verite" style didn't do anything to me... is it well made? It depends on what we consider that to be...

Awesome noms, though it is quite shocking to see Wahlberg nominated over Nicholson! Good thing I predicted Wahlberg to score an Oscar nom for The Departed months ago!

Another nom for Cohen!!! I'm starting to think that he could seriously be nominated for, and possibly walk off with, the Best Actor Oscar this year.

Another Roberto Benigni? It's possible, I guess...

Personally, I think they'll do it just for the ratings boost. Everyone would tune in to see Borat accept an Oscar.
