im sure hulk didnt make batman move. bats n supes have both dissappointed in june, but i think the real thing is how enormos pirates 2 was. batman begins was a lot like pirates init had incredible wom, so clearly they think they could see a pirates sized 40%+ increase over the original.
Yes Its probably more to do with the strong summer days in July than the Hulk - which shouldnt even be released!
Mummy 3 should take a May slot if it does end up getting made. Even the second weekend in May would be good.

I've heard there's an extremely brief teaser for Angels & Demons on The Da Vinci Code's DVD.
It obviously won't be greeted with as much hype and controversy as its predecessor, but it should still do excellent. Hopefully it's a better-paced, more intriguing film. The Da Vinci Code was a big disappointment, in my opinion.

Magnus - yes that would be a good may schedule. Not May 2007 but nothing could compare to that.
Very good release date for Angels and Demons! Brilliant.
Nov/Dec 08 are looking smashing!
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Bond 22
Madagascar 2
Angels and Demons

ComingSoon has it listed as April 5. All other sites still have it listed as January 5.
I don't see the point of releasing it on April 5. It's a Thursday, and not to mention that direct competition from Grind House, which comes out the very next day.

January 5th 2007 makes compelte sense to me. Same slot Hostel had and its away from any competition.
It's been moved from that date for awhile. I absolutely guarantee you it won't be opening then.

Na, they're still filming. That would be one hell of a short post-production, and they wouldn't have a whole lot of finished, nice looking film to edit into the marketing materials.

Then thats it. I guess April is less congested than Feb and March aswell and gets out ahead of the summer.

Knew it would move there. Obvious and smart move by Dreamworks.
This move hurts Speed Racer though a lot. Had DW stuck with their guns and kept KFP there, I think Speed Racer would be a bit more likley to keep the Memorial Day spot as I doubt a movie would try to out-muscle BOTH KFP and Speed Racer. But now that only Speed Racer is there, a bigger film(either JPIV, Wolverine, Avatar, Mummy 3, or IJ4) should esaily outmuscle it and get that spot.
Maybe Speed Racer will move to 2nd weekend of May? Though that would probably doom it as we have seen how two other WB films(Troy and Posiedon) did in 2nd weekend of May. Troy dissapointed DOM and Poseidon flopped.
You predicted it dude! Good call. I suspect that is 3 weeks after Narnia so it should be good for it.
Something will definitely move in and take Speedracers place. I do think Speed Racer may be bigger than we have been giving it credit for. I agree the second weekend of May isnt all that good. Early August could be an option.
Wolverine could work on Memorial Day if ID4 doesnt take that spot. I have a feeling Memorial Day will have to mahor openers.
