^ Though I kind of like the passing reference to her.

"I am the money."
"Worth every penny."

Some dolts in the theatre thought Eva Green was Moneypenny.

That's the new ideal audience.

They should just reboot it yet again with Matthew McFadyen this time. If you guys don't know who he is, netflix MI 5 and thank me later.

Eva Green was great in her role, she wasn't supposed to be a traditional Bond girl, she was supposed to be the reason that he later turned to traditional Bond girls. Eva has the sexiest voice in movies today so while she might not have the most stunning looks ever, she's always a valued addition, plus she can act which comes in handy in movies.

I wish they would let Q, R and Moneypenny be gone for good but I am positive they will slowly be added over the next few movies. Well all but R -- his only purpose was to get a new Q without having to actually call him Q. Cleese's presence makes any film impossible to take seriously so they should keep him as far away from Bond as possible.

I do love Spooks and was in the Matthew McFadyen for Bond camp.

Mr. Darcy can't play Bond!

Although I too liked Spooks.

BTW, this was the first Bond film without Moneypenny. RIP

Yes, but Moneypenny isn't in the novel, either.

This post is in passing but many things aren't in the novel.

She was fantastic in Jungle Fever.

But looks wise, yeah, Eva is a bit monkey-ish compared to most Bond girls.

Ursula Andress played Vesper in the original Casino Royale, as well as Honey Ryder in Dr. No.

She looks good in the film, but...

...and before anyone says that I tried to find the worst picture, this was at the premiere of Casino Royale. Seemed appropriate, and she looked goth-like in most of the pictures anyways.

She wasn't supposed to be a "Bond girl" though, that wasn't her role.

I should add I masturbated many a times to The Dreamers. I get it, she's euro trash vamp-lite.

But considering Angelina Jolie was long rumoured to be in the running, Eva is a huge step down.

Yes, but they're all related to the novel. Bond in Madagascar and Miami foiling the bombing attempts directly bankrupts Le Chiffre. It's an elaboration that fits within the story.

If you're in a Bond film and your name isn't Dame Judi Dench, you're a Bond girl.

So techincially, Eva Green is the Bond girl.

If you want to look at this strictly from a "looks" point of view, she's right in line with previous gals before her. I wouldn't say she's as stunning as Ursula Andress or Jane Seymour, but she is still a looker.

What I think they were most interested in though was the acting. That part they got spot on.

I wonder then what actress they'll line up for Bond 22.

They'll need a homely version of Catherine Zeta-Jones. hmmm

Not really. Well, not for me, anyways. I look at that picture (or any of her pictures, for that matter) and I'm like, "Bond girl?"

But anyways, she doesn't look that good in the film, just alright. She's definitely near the bottom of the list of Bond girls in terms of looks.
