Ok, I'll try harder.

Magnus declared that comingsoon.net has lost all credibility for making such a ridiculous statement.

You quickly defended the critic by citing other critics were raving.

My post was first speaking to that, explaining that raves they may be, but hardly what comingsoon.net claimed, and your defensive post came off as defending comingsoon.net's declaration that it's the best animated film in decades. That's why I asked you how you could defend it as being that. I may have misunderstood your original post.

Were you agreeing that it's a credible statement that it's the best animated film in decades?

How exactly would I know the answer to that when (as we have said about five times already) none of us has seen it yet?

I'm saying it doesn't seem fair to say they lose credibility for saying something like that when none of us have seen it.

Ugh nevermind this argument is idiotic, I don't feel like participating in it

I think she just meant that Magnus shouldn't say that the site lost its credibility until he's seen it, not that they're absolutely right that it is the best animated film in decades.

Libs is right in this argument.

Until you see the movie, you can't bash a website for calling it the best animated movie in decades, because who knows... it might just be. It might also be not, but the point is that until you see it, you can't make the assumption of whether it is or not.

The only thing that confused me about that statement is how he says decades, which means he's referring to films before animation's highpoint, with the Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, etc., which was not "decades" ago. I guess he thinks Jungle Book and Bambi are the best ever or something?

Shack, nobody is asking for you to jump in, and ONCE AGAIN, declaring that the side that I am on is wrong, so shut the fuck up.

Well its getting great reviews at the moment. Akin to the best received Pixar films so that can only be a good sign. Best in a decade? Who knows? Every critic and every person here will have their own opinion about that so need to fight over it.

It's YOUR act that is tired. Nobody asked for your two cents, and you only added them to stir more shit, just like you always do. Grow the hell up and quit acting like a little dick. Go over to BOF and work on your site and try being responsible and mature when you come here.

No more. Stop fighting. Do it in PM if you need to

I certainly did not mean to instigate possibly the lamest argument I've ever seen on a forum, but there you go.

I wish there was a tally chart for how many fights Maverikk has created on this board. Gotta be up to 100+ by now, if not more.

I didn't start an argument, assface, you did. Why don't you talley the fucking times up and show them. You want to make a statement like that, back it up for once in your fucking existence.

a)someone comments on a film claiming it was great after seeing it
b)another points out that this person has lost all credibility before saying it.
c)another responds and says such statements shouldn't be said before watching the film.

I could see this being the best animated film of the decade, I'll be dissapointed if this is only as good as The Lion King actually. Opinions are opinions, they don't mix with right and wrong. Blah.

I don't think I need to tally up anything... everyone who's been here for any time at all knows your actions speak for themselves in that department.

Anytime a single word is disputing your opinions, you turn it into a fight. It doesn't matter if it's comments that have nothing to do with you... the assface and you're a baby comments come out. And it's tired as bloody hell. Just calm down and get off the ego trip, god. It's not healthy for little screenames on the internet to affect you this much. I have nothing against you at all, I'm just saying... calm the hell down buddy. Libs said you can't judge a review until you see the movie, I agreed with that comment, that's it, so get over it, calm down. So what if I agreed with what she was saying? Does that make me an assface, does that automatically mean I'm disputing against you? No, it was nothing personal at all, I barely even noticed you were "in" this dispute originally, from what I could tell it was Magnus' comment vs Libs defending Happy Feet... and I agreed with what she was saying. I have nothing personal against you Maverikk, I don't mean to step into arguments with you at all, I'm just giving advice... Turn it down, if you want people to be more respectful.

And I'm done.

Don't give me advice, boy. You are hardly the beacon on common sense, and everybody knows you follow me and start trouble. In fact, you've received warning for doing so.

If you can't produce your claims, I'm reqyuesting a week long ban for you. It's not like you haven't been warned sevreal times. Produce the links to back these claims without trying to perform the character assassination on me that's an obsession with you.

I could ask you to make a list of all the great accomplishments you've made for this website, c'mon this isn't nessecary. Guys, this thread does not deserve to get highjacked like this, and it certainly shouldn't be closed. I'm talking to both parties over PM, please help me out and just stop addressing each other in this thread, take this up over PM if you both really feel like you must.

He said he was requesting a week long ban if I didn't produce. *shrug* Might as well show him what he wants.

Back on topic, with the first negative review from Village Voice as Kill pointed out, Happy Feet is now at a still fantastic 86%, with an average rating of 7.5. Right now Casino Royale is at 94% and has an average of 7.6. It's almost as much fun to see which one gets better reviews as it to predict which will open at #1 this weekend. It really is like Lilo and Stich vs. Minority Report on (hopefully) a larger box office scale.
