The unclogging hours has become pretty stable (12:30pm, 4:30pm, etc.) now, so the traditional ratios are still useful at different time of the day.

Saw's 57 written reviews at this hour is very impressive when you consider there is nothing to suggest a high ratio.

BTW, I don't think Scissors' ratio will be higher than 100 since the film is hidden deeply at Yahoo (no picture or right-side link from the movie main page). It's still not making $1m today though.

Is it still too early for projections?

Saw III should get to 1,000 reviews. Neither Catch a Fire (200 reviews max) or Running With Scissors (will be around 50) is breaking out. So everything is pretty much doing what's expected.

If Saw III is as backloaded as The Grudge 2 was (unlikely, but possible), it'll reach 1,600 reviews for the day (1,700+ overall). However, I doubt it's as backloaded, so I think we're looking at 1200-1300 for the day (90 ratio = $13-15m).

It would need more than 16.5 million on friday to reach 40 million. I see it being very frontloaded with at least a 10% drop on saturday

Yeah, based on Yahoo! alone, it doesn't look like $40m, but it's possible that we're overprojecting the ratio (TCM and Grudge pulled VERY low ratios, and R-rated horror films generally have smaller ratios than PG-13, so it could be closer to TCM) or it's really backloaded. Personally, I think it'll be around 80-ish. It'll need at least 1,200 tonight to have a chance at $40m.

Way too early for projections would be an understatement.

Using Saw 2 midnight to 4:30 PM ratio and TCM's review to gross ratio...13.89 is a guess at Saw II's Friday gross.

Saw 3 now on the front page. Catch a Fire also sort of on the front page...it's a small link below Saw 3.

It's very clogged. There's 213 written reviews for Saw III.

Saw III - 680, 586 Friday, +66, B (325 written)
Catch a Fire - 96, 94 Friday, +7, B- (9 written)
Running With Scissors - 113, 34 Friday, +4, C+ (18 written)

Expect a huge increase (at least for Saw III) in the next update.

Catch a Fire - 103, 101 Friday, +7, C+ (down from B-)
Running With Scissors - 118, 39 Friday, +5, C+

I don't see $15m for Saw III. Most likely around $13m.

Even with clogging, the written percentage is still high, so I expect a higher than originally projected ratio.

60% of the written have come in the last 2 hours. So, the clogging is probably worse than usual. I think it might near 2,000 reviews.
