It was seriously the best hour of TV I have ever seen! amazing plot, awesome writing and acting, twists, comedy, and totally gut wrenching.
Emmy's will be rushed to everyone involved in this episode.

Yep, that was pretty much one of the best episodes of this show ever.
As annoying as I found Snora, I was actually kind of sad to see her die and everything.
Felicity Huffman was excellent in this episode.
And, man, Laurie Metcalf seems to be getting really good at playing Crazy Chick Who Waves Gun/Knife Around At People And Then Gets Shot In The Head (see: Scream 2). I smelly a Guest Actress Emmy nod (or win).
Also: Dixie Carter is playing Orson's mom. Heck yes.

She was annoying in Independence Day, too. I was so glad when she got blown off the top of that building.
I think emmy awards and Golden Globes will spawn from this episode.

That was a great perfect episode. and I am glad that both of those annoying women are dead. One question was there anything up with the woman who shot her at the end?
On next next's sneak, seems like a little too much, Julie now with the bad boy, another mother and what is going to be up with the new guy and the sister?

Dunno, they established that woman's child was a student of Carolyn's Sunday school class or something.

Um...was tonight's guest director Quentin Tarantino?
I agree with most here: great episode. Amazing performances from Laurie Metcalf and Felicity Huffman.
The only sore spot, once again, was the Gabrielle/Carlos thing. I just find their squabbles a little too over-the-top and repetitive at times. Plus, that whole let's make-up part (which we all knew would eventually happen)felt completely tacked on and half-assed.

Eh, I don't know, I think the whole Gaby/Carlos fighting thing was probably needed in this episode for some comic relief, since the episode was somewhat more dramatic than usual.

I am OK with the Gabrielle/Carlos thing as how long can they fight, let them get back together and move to the back while others get the front spot light. Also, I thought the women's killer was going to be the husband.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about tonight's episode was that you actually felt saddened when the most irritating character on the program bit it. So, great writing tonight.

It was sad, but I admit I sorta chuckled when Metcalf uttered "I believe the phrase you're looking for is 'thank you'."
I think a lot of people at home thought "hell yes!" lol

Ah it feels so nice to be excited and talk about this show again. I used to be able to have conversations about that night's episode like I do with Grey's Anatomy now, but something just got lost in the second season.

I think that was mostly due to Huffman's performance in the scene.

Metcalf's best line was "What are you looking at me like that for? You know you wanted her dead."

Yes, but I almost teared up at Snora's little dying speech.

Yes, it was great, and filled with little comedy moments, like when she mustered up the energy to tell Lynette "Shut up bitch and let me finish" or whatever she told her. And then how her head went limp in that over the top fashion that Hollywood has made a staple in death scenes for years.
It was a brilliant episode from the comedy to the suspense to the emotional impact.

hehe...she entered the series as a vulgar whore, and certainly went out as one.
Way to stay in fitting form, Nora!

Great episode. I don't think it was the series' best but it was defnitely a refesshing hour of TV!
I agree with Cotton about the Carlos/Gabby thing. It was kind of a lame excuse to get them back together. Everything else they connected real well with the hostage situation, especially Bree when she found out what she had done.
Funny how this is being hailed as either the best episode since season 1 or best episode ever and it was in some way tied to MAry Alice

Thinking about the 2 deaths, I think at the moment of death both were sad, including Laurue Metcalf, but in relation to Snora, I am just so glad that she is gone as I hated how she used the daughter as a pawn, that is one thing that I don't like. Also another great line was, I didn't want the first 4 either but they have grown on me.

Not to mention that Laurie Metcalfe is a multiple Emmy winner/nominee, Guest Actress in a Comedy Emmy (for now) is hers to keep.
I also liked her line, something about the special today is not to get shot and only available in the back of the store, lol. Creepy bitch.

That episode is officially my new favorite of the series. It was AMAZING - intense, dramatic, darkly funny and also very poignant. This is the first time I've ever teared up watching this show, and the ending was really sad. I'm almost positive this show will be nominated for tons of Emmy awards next year, with most focusing primarily on this episode. All of the leads (especially Felicity Huffman) were at the top of their game and guest stars Kiersten Warren and Laurie Metcalf were fantastic. I also loved some of the subtler scenes, like the moment between Tom and Susan in the parking lot. Ahh! I'm so pumped about how great that episode was!

Glad I'm not the only one who was blown away by the episode. Who knew that a writer from "Frasier" (Joe Keenan) would write something like that?

Hmm...maybe I was wrong...it CAN be as good as season one after all. At least once in a while.
Like pretty much everyone else I LOVED it and it was the best hour of tv ive seen in a long long time.
I thought it had some very funny moments as well, it's jsut that it was a very dark funny so you kinda felt bad laughing at them. I love Felicity Huffman.
