I'm sorta getting sick of the writers adding in lines that fans would say. Why didn't Locke try to get reception on the other TVs? "Well, don't I feel stupid..." That's like when Hurley was in a tizzy over why no one was looking for the monsters or the polar bears, etc etc.
And I don't like the new characters. I don't need more uninteresting characters played by actors that will get DUIs in the next few months, and be killed off in time for a sweeps month.

I liked Nikki for her hotness and also she seemed pretty regular persony in a way that the other leading women on the show used to but lost over time. The show has been lacking some eye candy for men for a long time, whereas female viewers had Jack, Sawyer and that Aussie character. I was thinking about that recently, they talk about ratings dropping but in the first season they had episodes with Kate, Sun and Shannon in err very photogenic shots and they stopped doing that kind of thing. Paolo needs to be fitted for a red shirt though.
I watched this last episode but wasn't paying full attention. What exactly did Eko say to Locke when he was dying, if they showed it.

He said "Your next..." or it might have been "your all next." Very spooky...

As long as it keeps bABA, Loyal, Shack et al. from bitching for five pages, it's A-OK with me.
And I did like the line about how Jack only ever brought Sayid or Kate with him into the jungle. That always bugged me a bit.

Locke: I'm going to find Jack, Kate and Sawyer. They need our help!
...
Hurley: Uhm... dude? Wouldn't it be best to, you know... wait here and maybe they'll find their way back?
Locke: That's crazy... they may already be dead. We need to find out, we need to find them!
Charlie: Well... if they already bit the biscuit... why should we risk falling into the evil clutches of the Others too? That's just mental.
...
Locke: Jack has done so much for this camp, Sawyer would fight tooth and nail for this camp, and Kate... well... Kate's a good person, too.
Jin: Blahda blagblooda blaBEEBA!!
Locke: What did he say?
Sun: He said...
*Sun stares longingly into the sky*
Sun: He said... don't be fucking stupid, John. Nobody likes them anyway.

FOLLOW-UP: DO LOST AND HEROES SHARE THE SAME WORLD?
A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you my theory that the exec producer of Heroes, Tim Kring, and the exec producer of Lost, Damon Lindelof, are in a secret creative alliance, and that their respective stories share a common backstory mythology. To wit: The Hanso Foundation/The Dharma Initiative is the agency responsible for the outbreak of super-powered humans in Heroes.
In response to the theory, Kring, who happens to be good friends with Lindelof, revealed that the two men have indeed discussed the idea of creating some kind of creative synergy between the two shows, although the reality of Lost and Heroes being on separate, competing networks makes that somewhat complicated if not impossible.
I recently had the chance to run all of this by Lindelof. For the record, when I asked him if it was true that he and Kring had discussed the possibility of a Heroes/Lost team-up, this was his reaction:
''Totally true. And if Hiro can teleport ANYWHERE, wouldn't YOU watch him team up with Hurley to find the rest of that four-toed statue?''
My answer: YES!

I'm a bit curious to why if the others have access to the real world, and have the ability to send someone like Michael back, why doesn't Gale just go back himself to get fixed by a regular spinal surgeon?

That happened with Ana Lucia and Libby. I don't recall hearing anything about their demise when it happened.

Not really, it was there to emphasize Kate's inner turmoil over having to "run" all the time (hence the end).
And, um, yeah. I HATE THIS SHOW FOR MAKING ME WAIT 3 MONTHS. It's like summer hiatus all over again. ZLHFoudsty2p03845y493u
At least I have other things like Grey's Anatomy to keep me going heh

It sucks we have to wait 3 months to find out what is going to happen. And also we have to wait to find out what Eko's message to Locke was all about.
