Post Last Chance! What's YOUR opinion!
Hey everyone,

As you may have noticed. The forum's design has changed a bit. It has taken be a long time, and many hours to do so. Finally, I am reaching the stage where things are about done, and I can move on.

Before I do so, I am asking YOU, all of you, for your opinions on the following topics and anything else you can think of:

- Overall color scheme
- Logo
- New BG (filmstrip)
- New search function look
- Rollover effect on the links

And so on. Basically is there anything I have A) forgot or B) that you think should be improved. Once done, I will work on changing the actual colors of the forum from Blue, to Black ... I'm not quite sure how long that will take as of yet ... hopefully not too long.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, you all help to steer me in the right direction.

"Submit" should be changed to "Search"

I'd choose a lighter shade than the yellow/green look for the marquee that has coming soo on it. And maybe a lighter shade for the spotlights as well.

Maybe integrating the black from the top of the screen into the layout a little more. Despite the change, I still think there's a little too much blue. Just imho.

But good inprovements so far. :)

Its a great improvement but i still dont like the Logo, it doesnt look as cool as the other BO sites, very amateurish?, and the marquee with the menu looks rather cheap and unfinished with those colors, it actually looked better in blue.

But just IMHO

It looks ok, but I think it would be cool to have a topic of the day like picture up there. For example, beside the Borat $8.9 m opening day, have a image to acknowledge that, or something like that. Also, something about the rolling headline is a bit too much like LMI, so maybe changing the angle of it, or structure of it, might make it seem a bit more interesting. But that'll probably be harder to do.

I never minded the blue, but the changes look good too.

Of course, I have no eye for design things. I'm currently wearing a purple-ish plaid shirt, my authentic leopard skin thong, and knee high black socks, if that tells you anything.

What happened to the background color? It was black and now it's back to the blue/light blue on the bottom. It looks better darker with the new border.

I tend to use Mozilla exclusively, and this error didn't show up in Mozilla, only IE. Thus I didn't catch it, so thanks for the heads up!

Basically what happened is: I am working on the next page to switch to the new colors, which would be the articles page. In doing so I had to:

- Shrink the top.php from the forums width back down to the main site's width.
- I was also working on creating a new external style sheet, and this is where the error came in. The current way the site uses style's is very sloppy ... and in changing to a new style sheet I encountered a few errors in the header and the BG.

Should be fixed now, please let me know if that isn't the case. And thanks again for the heads up.

It's back to the dark background. Sorry I didn't get to post sooner.

Great work with the changes.

Is there a way you can also make the logo a link that will take people back to the home page?

I was indeed ... but it turned out that there is no quick fix ... so I moved onto the main site's re-design. I won't re-visit changing the forum colors until after the main site re-design.
