 I knew it would top $25m!! Remember weekend multiplier should be good due to Columbus Day.

Columbus day wouldn't really effect it since most people work on Monday, but the extremely positive reviews and great WOM will give it a great multiplier.

Either TCM tanking or Departed doing phenomenal. Probably a little of both.

Employee not doing too badly. Probably right on with tracking.

It looks like TCM might only do 17 million at the most, while the Departed looks bigger, Id say 23 million is the floor at this point.

Departed should indeed be on its way to $8-9M. Employee is also impressive - at least $4M tonight. TCM looks like it will be under $20M for the weekend, but by no means a bomb.

Tanking compared to expectations, not regarding profit.

Unfortunately shitty movies like these are always profitable.

Two updates in a row with Employee over TCM...

And Departed is doing 50% more than TCM/Employee combined in the last two updates. Yeesh.

I am fairly certain I will never actually see it unless I'm captured as a POW and tortured with it.

Departed has just over 4 reviews for every written one which is at the very low end. The other two over 7. I'm thinking 100 for TCM, 100 for EOTM and 110 for Departed.

So how many more reviews on average can we expect for the rest of the night for Departed?

hehe I guess so.

So if it makes it to 1000 - then usuing your 110 - it should be good for about 9m but who knows!

At this point, I'll go with $8.5m for Departed (owned, DP ;) ), $4m for Employee and $6m for Chainsaw.

I'll only be owned with the release of the numbers. :disgust:

I think Employee can get as much as 5m.

Departed (847)
Ratio: 90 - 100
Friday: 8.5 - 9.3
Friday Median: 8.9
Projected Weekend: 27.24

Texas Chainsaw (512)
Ratio: 80 - 90
Friday: 5.8 - 6.5
Friday Median: 6.15
Projected Weekend: 16.32

Employee of the Month (422)
Ratio: 80 - 90
Friday: 4.6 - 5.1
Friday Median: 4.85
Projected Weekend: 13.55

Departed seems to have a higher than expected ratio due to a large number of Infernal Affairs lovers giving it Cs/Ds/Fs, and Scorsese lovers giving it A+s to counteract.

The rest are just low compared to theater reports. Texas Chainsaw should probably be a little higher, but this is the Yahoo! review thread so gotta stick with the modus operandi.

I am both... which is why I gave it a B.

I'm thinking that the people dumb enough to pay and see a prequel to that lame Texas Chainsaw remake probably won't know how to use computers, so you may want a higher ratio on that.

My projections:

The Departed - $8.5M
Employee - $4.7M
Chainsaw - $5.6M

TCM should still have a fairly low ratio even with the crappy grade.
