Is Bones a good TV series?
It is about to start in Germany and the word I am reading online is pretty good, but the whole set-up for the show somehow reminds me of CSI and similar stuff. The previews are looking interesting, though.
Is it a good watch (for someone who is not a fan of generic cop/crime shows)?

I saw the pilot last season, and it did not capture me. David Boreanaz makes a bunch of pop culture references, Emily Deschanel says "I don't know what that means", and they examine bones.
That's what I recall. It's probably a good show, in the same vein of CSI.

Nope. Too much like CSI and NCIS. The thing that even makes it cheesier is that Bones which is the name of Emily Deschanel's character uses karate against criminals when she solves a case even though shes supposed to be an archeological forensic scientist

Every episode's the same thing, like most procedurals.

Same here, and I'm also probably the only person that finds Emily Deschanel kinda hot.

I actually watched last night's (I've seen maybe 4 or 5 episodes of this since last season)... and I must say... I thought it improved. AND David Duchovny directed it and the episode focused on the "mythology" of the show (Bones' missing father).

It's all right. Better than NCIS and a few others. David Boreanaz makes it infinitely more tolerable than it would've been with any other actor.

Really? I've never watched Bones, but I can't imagine Boreanaz making something tolerable. Unless you're an Angel fangirl who thinks he's hot.

Ha ha. No. As someone who doesn't really like any Whedon shows very much, I never watched Angel at all, and preferred Spike, since he and Anya were the only amusing characters on Buffy, at least until they ruined both of them. Of course, I wouldn't consider James Marsters hot either.

What? You don't find guys who are 40+ and acting like they're in their 20's hot?
