I hope they have a special Christmas episode next season, with Hurley dressed up as Santa.

Another great episode. The ending was pretty shocking. It makes useless the producers saying that we should take the "when this is all taking place" with a grain of salt.
So, basically Sun is one badass liar! It wasn't exactly clear whether Jin knows about the affair. I personally think he has known all this time.

Meh, I wasn't that impressed, I actually thought we knew that the Others had a direct connection to the outside world but maybe it's just me. Did like how Henry... I mean Ben has been here all his life though, and how he can get htem off the island. It's undetectable, and this makes me believe the Others are in control of that.

Redshirts should just kill all the leads and try to survive on their own. Nice way of losing one possible way out of the island.
And btw, how others managed to get on boat? Sayid and Jin scouted just the area lighted with fire?

Somewhat better episode than the last, but still rather average by the series' standards.
Can someone explain to me how the hell could Sayid be THAT stupid?

From now on whenever someone has a gun on the others, I really want them to just pull the damn trigger already.
Looking forward to next week's episode, though! the 3 best characters are back!

Next season? At this rate, it will take three seasons to cover one week on the island.
Good episode, which is a surprise when the flashback focus was on the normally bland Sun and Jin.
Speaking of flashbacks, I don't see how anyone could complain about the length of the flashback this week. There wasn't a whole lot of flashbacking going on.

Another Sun and Jin flashback once again proves they have nothing to with the island whatsoever.
They have had like 4 flashbacks now right? And they are the only people with no connection to the island. All their flashbacks do is give us insight into what kind fo people they are.
At this point, Sun and Jin are both the most worthless characters on the show. I'm not saying they're bad characters... they're just the most expendable. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sun die next but I don't think they'd kill off another female so soon.
The only connection I can see them having to the island is Sun's baby... seeing as how slow the time is passing, she'll probably be set to have her baby in like season 6 or something (if it even goes that long) so they could actually turn that into some huge twist and connection to the island much like Scully's baby was for the X-files prophecy (then again, I didn't follow x-files all too closely so I may be wrong).
Jack is so irritatingly stubborn. I mean, we get it. Nobody would be that stubbord under those circumstances.
I can't wait to see the flashbacks for Julie (Julia?) and Ben... they better be planning them for this season!

For anyone's interest: (Minor spoiler on who will have flashback episodes coming up):
Episode 3: Locke (With apparently a really great dream sequence this episode!)
Episode 4: Sawyer
Episode 5: Eko
Episode 6: Kate
Break till next year
My inkling is, that if they are ending with a Kate flashback, her or Sawyer will probably get bumped off that episode. That's the last episode for quite some time, so I definite think that if Lost were to get rid of a character, Episode 6 would be when they'd do it....just my guess...they'll try and pull off something big that episode...

They had better not kill off anymore female characters. They offed 3 last season, why not kill some guys already? I don't know, perhaps JACK!!!!
As for last night's episode, both episodes have been alright so far. I liked last night's better than Jack's, though not for the fact that it was a Jack episode, as he actually did very little to annoy me. I like Sun a lot, and I am so glad that she shot that bitch dead. I hate when that situation happens and then the person who one character has a gun aimed at starts with the "I know you, you aren't a bad person, but if you do this blah blah blah". I cannot say how full of glree I was that Sun killed her.
Is anyone else as sick of the Others as I am? I really don't care anymore. I don't care who they are, or what they're doing, or any of that. I would love it so much, really, if Sawyer and Kate just killed them all next episode and went back to the camp. I don't need any explanation for the Others, anything at all. I would not complain if that entire storyline was just ended completely and they think of some new things already.
The whole Others thing has been going on since season 1, and I am completely bored with it already. I love storylines that are actually intereresting and complex, but I really have just given up on this whole Others stuff.
It's times like this that I appreciate Alias more. Alias may not have always had the best storylines arcs, but they were never stagnant. Alias was always answering questions and then asking new ones, then suddenly resolving a storyline in an episode and start a whole new one. With Lost it's just mystery after mystery, over and over, and nothing (or next to nothing) is ever resolved.
In S1, in "Hearts and Minds" when there was no furthering of the hatch-situation, and then in the episode or two after that there was still nothing it was so blatantly clear that the season was going to end with "the hatch is opens, reaction shots from everyone, END". Then in S2 the whole 108 minutes button pushing was clearly a "let's draw this out all the way to the very end of the season and then find out what happens when you don't push the button".
Why can't Lost suddenly shift gears mid-season? Or have some kind of change of pace, or something shocking. Not pointless character death either (ie Shannon and Libby).
I hated that I always rant about Lost and keep watching, but I can't just give up on it. It used to be so good, and it can be again.

I am. When Sawyer had that ak-47, I was hoping he'd just ignore the blonde and shoot her in the head and blow away as many as possible.

Something's been bothering me since the premiere. Is Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) supposed to closely resemble Meredith from "Grey's Anatomy", or is that just a coincidence?

Well I like the Others storyline, I think there is more to it that we don't know. I would like to know why Henry/Ben was on that island for his whole life.

The Others just seem like a bunch of pretentious assholes.

I agree, Squee. They are some of those "all knowing" characters that some find mysterious and "oh, how do they know all that?" but I just find them to be pretentious and really, amazingly annoying.
That was why I loved when Sun killed that bitch. I was seething with anger with the "you're not a killer" crap and then she uses Sun's fill name. In that situation, even if it was just to make a point that you don't know me, I would do something that I don't normally do. Something that is completley out of character. For Sun, that is shooting that bitch dead. For me it would probably be kindly surrendering (and now that I think about it more, it sucks for me...).
Why can't the writers try and do something shocking and/or exciting? They seem to like faux-twists and turns, but not actual show-altering ones. Pull an Alias! Suddenly completed wipe out the Others half way through this season (or sooner, hint hint) and start a FRESH storyline. I could on for hours more about this, but the Office is on in mere minutes so I must go.
